Nice to find a book that kids can relate to
This book is a great tool to use when you are dealing with ADHD. This is a book we will be using after my son has been experiencing ADHD symptoms and concentration problems. He has not yet been diagnosed but we are certain he is on the spectrum. I look forward to reading this together as I also have ADHD (undiagnosed) adult.

Great Book for adults and kids
I bought this book to read myself initially before giving to my 8 year old. This is a very easy to read and understand book, highlights lots of traits of ADHD and great tips on how to manage them. I would recommend this book not just for those who have been diagnosed with ADHD but for kids that show some of the traits, you recognise and realise how you act and react to situations affects your child and has positive or negative impact. ADHD children are not naughty - their behaviour can be naughty - there is a difference - and how you explain that to your child has a huge impact on their self esteem.

Fantastic read, really informative and very adhd friendly
Fantastic read, really informative and very adhd friendly. My son enjoys reading this and particularly likes how interactive it is. He says this helps him to focus on what he is reading and stays engaged with it. I have recommended it to his teacher and senco. My son (11yrs) and I read a portion of it every night and discuss it between ourselves so that it really sinks in for him. I bought this to help with his transition into senior school. I would definitely recommend.

Highly recommended book!
Excellent book, my 7 year old has learned to much already. The Kite technique has been used and worked! Highly recommend teaching children and parents together as well as children reading independently.

well laid out , read better ones though
This book uses lots of American terms and scenes . Itโs probably more aimed at Year 7 kids . My 9 year old found it ok but bored of it quickly. She preferred another book called โ slow and and pay attention โ

Fantastic
My 10yr old son has found this book very helpful in understanding ADHD and helped him realise he is not alone in this journey. He has found the quiz sections fun. I have also read this book and, as a parent it has given me a good insight into how my sons mind works and how he feels - wish we'd had a book like this year's ago!!!

An excellent resource not only for kids but for parents as well. My 12 year old son read it 5x in the first month. I can tell him to read the chapter on "family" and think how he can use some of the strategies at home. I love this book but more importantly, my son found a book that is actually useful and relevant for his age.

Great Resource for an 11 Year Old With ADHD
My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD a few years ago and as any parent with an ADHD kid knows, life can be a bit challenging at times (really most of the time lol). This book has been really great for her to read, helps her understand everything. It has some great info on ways to help minimize symptoms, ie what foods to avoid, what foods help, all about medications, manners, how to deal with feelings, how to interact with siblings, etc. This is not a cure all, but a great resource to help with the chaos. My daughter is 11 and was reluctant at first to read it, but has really enjoyed it.

Great, helpful book!
I got this to help my 7 year old understand his diagnosis better. It can get a little "boring" so we have been reading it slowly but he really likes it and I like having a way to explain ADHD to him. Every time we read it he really identifies with the mini stories about other kids struggling with symptoms. He says he likes that there is a book about kids whose brains work just like his. When we first started reading it we had a problem with him "blaming" his ADHD for some of his negative choices and behaviors but we kept reiterating to him that it's not an excuse or a reason to make bad choices, it just means he has to work harder than other people to make good choices and it seemed to stop. This book is a great way to help you and your child explore and understand their diagnosis together I highly recommend it!

Great ideas for kids who struggle with following instructions and staying focused. Have shared with other parents and found great tips that took the stress out of the lives of families with these kinds of kids. Helped the kids too to see that they arent' the only ones with these problems. I loved my first book, loaned it out-- never returned. Got 2 more and similar things have happened. This book is really awesome!!
