Prolectrix EH0197S Halogen Heater

Might be that I'm an idiot given it's a halogen heater, but I have not expected it to be that bright. Don't need to have any lights on when this baby is working. If you close your eyes and point your face at it it feels like being in the sun, pretty good if you want to feel like a plant of ward off winter glooms, a bit much for having on at night. Doesn't really warm up whole areas too fast, you must be in the line of the light to feel the heat radiating from it. The less clothes the better it works, so get naked.Light, easy to move and silent (aside from a few cracking cooldown noises.

ordered to use in a small bedroom. heats up fast but one of the heating elements stopped working fairly quickly. Will last one winter

Have had mine for about 6 and half years and now it's on 1 halo bar! Really did stand the test of time , one halo broke last year and previously 1 beok the year before since then the 1 has been working, they don't make them like how they used to anymore :/ it's on its last leg but definitely was cost effective for 6+ yrs

Have several of this type of fire for daytime use when needed. Instant heat, cheap to buy & economical to run, don't believe I have ever used them full blast, warm enough on lower settings. One thing to note they are very bright when on, doesn't bother me but could be an issue for some people. This particular model is dinkier than others I have purchased but still does the job just fine. Dogs favourite fire, switch it on, she appears as if by magic! Useful extra heat source.

The product functions very well. I have been using it for the last two winters. However, you need to be careful about the body - the plastic tends to become brittle, cracks and falls away when you touch it. If you are not careful, this could be dangerous and a safety hazard.

Some of the reviews don't fit. There are no spare bulbs and it is a Daewoo heater. I cannot compare but I did expect something a little more solid, but I like the oscillation. I still feel the details are misleading as it says a different brand name. Compare when you buy against a daewoo and be aware there are no spare bulbs. Working fine so far though and prompt delivery. These are a little flimsy

Good and efficient heater. Will get very hot so need to be careful not to burn oneself.

Ideal for a small enclosed space. I have open plan, so the heater had to be close and directed at me to get any benefit. The light from the heater is intense, so a little overwhelming.It took the chill off, until I can get my radiators working properly.
