It was very popular in the 70's. My husband has wore it since then. It is a very distinct smell. I was on the golf course and a guy walked by and I knew he was wearing Elsha.....sure enough he was and he too has worn it for almost 50 years. **Q: So is there really oil in it or just alcohol?** A: Like many colognes, it may have an oil as one of it's base ingredients, but this product does not go on 'oily'. I bought a 3.4 oz glass atomizer and filled it with this fragrance so I would not have to splash on. It has good performance especially since it is a cologne concentration. It performs better than a lot of EDT (Eau de Toilette) and EDP (Eau de Parfum) concentration fragrances I own. The scent is of cinnamon, leather, vanilla, and some traces of honey (at least to my nose). It is not a sweet fragrance at all. The leather and cinnamon stand out. It is spicy and leathery (but not a raw leather).
