This never worked. Power to the plug and unit but not to the actual controls. Sent it back for a refund.

If you are looking for a grinder to be used with a percolator, cafetiere, or filter, this machine is perfect and is for you. It can quicky produce the necessary grind, in the quantity required, and the large container can cater for bulk amounts.If you are looking to make a barista style coffee (espresso based) that you'd get from a specialty shop then this machine is definitely not for you, the grind is not fine enough.From reading through the comments here there are some 'hacks' to make the grind finer - such as de-assembling and putting the plates closer together, or putting the grinds through twice. The latter may work, but if you want an espresso you need a different grinder.The finest fine setting is so coarse, that the water pushes through too quick to make espresso.For espresso, the basic Amazon Choice grinder on here is much cheaper, simpler and better - you 'push to grind', feel the grinds, and push again for a few seconds if you need to make finer.I notice the seller has removed the word "Espresso" from their Product Description, which is appropriate, and on that basis I should probably give a higher star rating.
