Very good saw for cutting through small to medium size branches. I bought this for cutting firewood while camping and it works better than I expected. I keep it in my rucksack at all times now. It's very sharp and cuts very well. It just took a minute to get used the pull-stroke being the cutting stroke.

Works great! Got it just to keep for emergencies or camping. Tested it on multiple 4-7in logs/ trees I had to clear and I was incredibly impressed. This thing rocks

This lost a star due to marketing. It’s much heavier than needed for camping or backpacking. However, I’ve used it for yard work, and found it to be very effective. The blade is sturdy and well designed, and binds minimally when cutting large pieces. I’ve found that the rigidity of the blade makes fast cutting easier, and the channels between the teeth are effective for preventing the teeth from getting clogged when cutting wet wood. The grip is very solid, but the shape is not ideal for my hand at least. I have never had it skip or had difficulty holding onto it, even when sawing fast and hard. It also feels like you could run over it with your car and be more worried about your tires than the saw. For camping/backpacking, my fiskars folding saw is larger, much lighter, and more comfortable. For yard work, this saw is fantastic.

This item definitely gets a five-star review. But take my advice... Where leather gloves when using this saw. Sucker slipped off a branch that I was cutting and got me right across my pointer finger and I bled like a stuck pig! I would definitely buy this saw again!

This was a great tool to take along camping. It has a very sharp blade which made cutting 5-6" trees for fire wood easy.

These are decent saws. They feel like something made by a name brand. They come as a pair, two identical long folding saws. Really long, for a folder. The blades are painted orange, the grips are dark green rubber, solid rubber. The butts of the grip are soft where there is no more frame inside. That frame is sized to the grips well, they don’t pry off. I don’t think it’s glued, but it’s in there good. It’s a comfortable grip, perhaps even too soft. It has stiffness where needed, but there is no visual indication of where the frame ends, to show which parts are stiff and which parts bend. The curve helps avoid lateral pressure, but that is still a possibility with this length. What I don’t like is the blade has a notch to lock it in the open position, but the blade opens a little further. I might’ve hit the latch with my hand, I’m not sure, but I was sawing and it felt weird, I saw the blade had become overextended. (It also has one as a stop before it shuts on your hand, which is helpful). I’d like it to have more than a spring holding it in place when open. The latch is about 1/4” deep, straight sides, so it shouldn’t come out too easily, but it means I have to be careful where I hold it and pay extra attention. The cutting ability is really good. I I used to have a 6” Gerber saw, and the teeth on this one are longer and more aggressive, with a smarter geometry. There are gaps to knock out the cut wood as you saw, it really chews thru wood on the outstroke. It’s best on stuff like branches, 1”-6” cuts. A bit large for the pocket, but it does fit. This size is perfect for the campsite or the backpack. The materials are all good quality, it does not feel cheap. There is very little that could rust, and it is all coated black. I expect these to be good for 5000 cuts. For the price, this is a great deal. It’s the right item to bundle, one of those tools that I do not want to share or lend when it’s needed.
