A Must Have for Tight Muscles or stretched ligaments!
I was a little worried about getting a low quality product in comparison to what was being used on me at Physical Therapy. However, this product actually OUTPERFORMED the professional $1000 item from the PT office. I believe the difference is in the pads. These pads are excellent and conduct the electricity extremely well. I can't yet speak of the longevity of the pads, but they say, with regular use, they last about 3 months. The Masseuse has 7 different modes that are truly unique from one another. I personally found the knead to be most soothing for use on a swollen ankle (from torn+stretched ligaments). My ONLY complaint with this item is that only 2 pads can be hooked up at a time. I ordered the dual adapter, thinking that would solve that problem, but after looking again, I don't think that's what it does. If this sucker could power 4 pads at once, it would be unbeatable in my opinion. Normally 4 pads wouldn't be needed. However, if you're trying to work multiple areas (both sides of ankle), then it is useful. Anyway, if you're in the market for one of these personal massagers, I highly recommend this high quality product that is also backed with a 2 year warranty.

depends on who you ask....
I bought this for my husband for Christmas as he was having joint and muscle pain. I felt sure this would help him tremendously. When we put it on his shoulders he reacted like he was being electrocuted. He hated it and shouted for me to get it off him immediately. He hasn't used it since and refuses to try it again.I, on the other hand, bought it because my hairdresser had it and let me try it. I thought that it would surely be relaxing and help with pain. Since I don't have any pain, it's hard for me to judge if it really does work, but now, it sits on our dresser, and I'm trying to decide whether I should return it or keep it for myself should I have any discomfort.Guess you have to try it for yourself....however, I do admit, that it does give you a "tingling" type of feeling and it does not feel like a massage.

Powerful enough at 2
Update - I've been using it regularly for a few weeks. I've had no issues with the pads but notice I have to start with more than a drip of water (more like 2 or 3 drips) and let it soak into my skin before it sticks fully. It seems to be helping my shoulder but I'm fairly sure it has a numbing effect and this allows me greater flexibility when I exercise after use. This results in faster healing. The numbing does feel good on my shoulder and back in addition to helping overall. I'm now up to 3 but haven't been able to get past this and probably don't need to. It doesn't distribute the charge equally so at the higher level I get a zap in the middle even with good adhesion. I'd still recommend this.Day 1= so far so good. I was worried it would not be powerful enough but I haven't been able to get past 2. I'm using it on my shoulder to help with the last bit of healing for a frozen shoulder. I'll write more as I go along regarding effectiveness but it certainly feels good out of the box.

Right Now It's 5 Star
First impressions. This is the cheapest feeling electronic device I have ever received. It is made of that cheap plastic that feels like the crushable chocolate bunnys you get for easter. It feels like if I accidently sit on it, it will crack. I turned it on and pressed the buttons to hard, like you do on your phone or a remote control it bends the unit in and the screen will flicker ... you need to press it with the lightest touch. The second time I used it, maybe it's not that cheap but the cheap usb wall power adapter died. It has a 2 year warranty, I have my receipt, not sending it back yet. That's the build quality, As for what it does OH MY GOD! This Thing is SO AMAZING! My wife loves it she will use it regularly and if it lasts more than 1 month, it paid for itself. If it lasted 1 week, it paid for itself but I'd be mad.I researched other units and this had the best score online so don't think about it just buy it, this is the best gizmo I've bought all year. When it does die, I will update the review and if the 2 year warranty is not honored I'll raise hell but for now. Love It!

Far too strong. Not enough control
I suffer from Chronic tightness in back muscles and my Chiropracter manages to loosen up my back nicely with a muscle stim unit. I thought I would buy this to see if I could save myself money on chiro visits. In short, I tried it but even on the lowest setting I found it strong. I massaged my low back for 2 mins then wanted to continue but I was already on the lowest setting and could not lower it. Then I tried it on the same setting on my shoulder and my shoulders were literaly jumping up from the charge!!!I am not a wimp!!! Maybe it was because my unit was defective or maybe because I used smaller pads. I returned the unit to Amazon.I will now buy one that has a rotary style dial where you can control the power. This one just has 7 settings (if my memory serves me right).Since returning this, a friend has loaned me the Advanteq 2000 Tens machine and this looks older but seems to be sturdier and have more control. Just as a FYI I routinely find level 4 out of ten on this machine comfortable but the mini masseuse one I could not use for long on setting 1!!!Good luck!John
