Exactly what I want and need in a grill
Many years ago I had this same grill and used it often. I accidentally left it on the back porch of a house I sold. So all these years later I have purchased it again and used it today for the first time. I am a woman who is not experienced with charcoal or gas grills so they kind of scare me. An electric grill is something I feel comfortable with. It was easy to put together and even easier to use. I grilled four hamburgers and four hot dogs and it was quick, easy and they turned out perfect. I find it easy to clean and, though I probably won't bring it indoors to use, I think it's a feature that would be helpful to many people. It is lightweight so I would not leave a small child unattended around it.

I wish the top popped off for easier cleaning, but it looks beautifully. Very non-stick!

Love this , Cannot be happier.
I was not expecting to love this grill more then my big stainless propane BBQ !!This was super easy to put together, which is a big deal for my Husband. It might of took 10 mins.It is 31 1/2 inch's tall with out the lid on. Plenty tall for me.The first time we used it. I put on cut up veggies, with salmon. It cooked even, and tasted great. (Veggies took longer then fish)Next day I grilled bacon , it also grilled even. For me, I love the ideathis did Not make a greasy mess all over my stove, and my home didn't get the bacon smellall through it.I live on a few acers, so this is Not just for a condo, apt etc. Although it is a greatalternetive if you cannot have a gas, or charcoal BBQ where you live.I did not get much smoke while cooking. The handle you can turn it, so it makes a vent, orclose it.This is basicly made out of plastic. The base does not get hot. If you keep the lid onit gets hot.We have a large stainless propane BBQ. When I makeveggies on that BBQ, I have to put veggies in a BBQ baskets, or they fall through the grates, and the basket is a mess to clean.I didn't have to do that with this type of BBQ/Grill.This does not have that type of grill where everything falls through. This grill is non-stick with ridges, which gives you the grill marks. There is a grove down the middle where the fat runs down into a large cup, and iseasy to clean.Being it is a non-stick grill. Before using it, I washed it, and I put this on high heat for about 15 mins to burn anything off . It did have a non-stick smell to it, or it was a newsmell, but it burned off.The grill does not have temperature degrees on the dial to show how high your grilling. There are numbers that light up. When it reaches those numbers the light goes off, then on again to keep up that temp.It heats up in a few mins.It also does not have a temperature gauge, but as you use this, you can figure that out very easy.Someone said this is like a hot plate.I do NOT think so. It is more like an electric skillet with ridges, although for some reason, it does taste like it has been BBQed'It does not give you the full taste of a gas BBQ, or charcoal, but everything taste betterthen cooking it on your stove or on your oven. With the hot summer coming on, this is going to be easy and keep my house cool.It is not a grill for a large crowd of people. If your serving meat, it is good forabout 4 people.I have not yet put a tri-tip roast on here yet, but will try that in a couple of weeks. The only Con I can think of is.I was disapointed that I cannot make a type of beer-can whole chicken. As the dome lid is not tall enough. On the inside of the middle of the lid, there is a inner knob to hang the lid on the sideof the grill, which is not a good idea. That knob takes up too much room , which will cause me not to be able to put the up-right whole chicken in this..I'm thinking of cutting the chicken in half, and laying it more flat on the grill and covering it with the lid. Hoping that will work! This little con, is not a reason that I would not buy this grill. For the winter, I will probably use this in my garage if its not too cold.If I could give this grill 10 stars I would.Btw I just recieved this grill the other day and paid $69.00 including shipping,& no tax. Now a week later I see the price went to $82,99 & $16,99 shipping = $99.98..Big differents $30.00 more!!That said, most electric grills are allot more money, and not so easy to put together.George got it right, we love this little grill.if I could give this grill 10 stars I would.

Hopefully my bad experience was just a fluke and I've reordered a new one!
GOOD NEWS! Please Read at the end of this review because I just added a new update on 8/3/2023This grill has been AMAZING. It heats up quickly to grill steaks, chicken, salmon, burgers, and vegetables. It really seals in the flavors and everything comes out tasting delicious. We ordered it to use on our deck per rules against the use of charcoal and propane. We store the plug-in indoors immediately after use once the grill cools off and cover the body of the grill with a heavy duty grill cover.11 months after we purchased it I noticed a strong plastic electrical burning odor coming from the grill while it was heating up and the component that plugs into the grill was super hot and I immediately unplugged it thinking it was close to catching fire. And I'm glad I did because the element was melting and burning (see photos). I called Amazon and they were nice enough to offer me a full refund on the amount I paid for it and told me to dispose of the grill. I'm hoping it's a fluke and not typical because up to this point it worked perfectly and there were no issues.I like the grill so much that I'm reordering another with the refund I was given. I'll give an update in a few months on the replacement because I don't want to discourage anyone from buying it unless it happens again.——————————————————Update 12/20/17: The replacement grill has been terrific so far (about 7 months in) and is performing without any problems. No problem with the cord or plug-in getting too hot. It’s winter now so we won’t be using it much until next season. I’ll give another update then.—————————————————————Update 7/19/18: The grill’s pronged plug-in component is working fine and hasn’t overheated whatsoever on my replacement grill, so that’s the good news. The bad news is the Teflon has begun to flake off in the last couple weeks(see photo) and I use nothing to clean it other than Dawn dish soap and the recommended OXO Good Grips hand brush that I purchased with my first George Foreman back in the June 2016.I’m going to reach out to the manufacturer and see if they’ll replace the Teflon grill plate because other than that it’s been great. I had noflaking on my previous GF.—————————————————————UPDATE 7/19/18....30 Minutes later: Great news!! The manufacturer is sending me a replacement Teflon grill plate. They asked me to provide the model number which I looked up on Amazon and a manufacturer number or date (?) engraved on the bottom underside of the grill plate. The Customer Service Agent couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. The replacement grill plate will be delivered within 10-14 business days. 😊—————————————————————Update 7/26/18: The grill plate replacement was sent (see photo) but it was missing the metal prong receptical that screws onto the back of the plate and the old one won’t unscrew even with an electric driver without stripping some of the screws. The grill plug-in won’t fit or work without it.I called the manufacturer’s CS and they said the plate should have Included the metal component that screws on the back. They were supposed to send another plate and called back to say they’re out of stock and would instead send a new grill. Sounds great, right? Except that’s been a problem too. They asked me ship them my electric cord at my expense. One trip to UPS and a phone call later, due to their error, they instead told me cut through the plug-in cord with heavy shears and send photos to prove to them that I wouldn’t use my old grill — ugh. I just want to use my grill w/o having to jump through more hoops.I filled out another online form and uploaded the mandatory photo because I guess the manufacturer believes their customers are shady even after having sent them 2 screenshots of my amazon proof of purchase with dates and the price paid.I no longer recommend this grill. It seems to last only about a year before something goes wrong. I have no idea whether I’m being sent a replacement or not since their CS Rep has neglected to return my request for a call back and I can no longer use mine even if I wanted to now that the cord is cut.———————————————————————UPDATE 5/2/2023….I failed to report back that I was sent the missing parts a couple weeks later after my last update in 2017 and I’ve had no issues at all with the grill since! Everything turned out and after all this time the replacement grill is still going strong and no issues with the grill plate flaking or the plug overheating/melting. I will take new photos this week and add them to my review so you can see for yourself. In short, I take back what I said in my last update in 2017 and HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GRILL great buy! 👍👍 ________________________________________________Update 8.3.2024…this grill is still WONDERFUL AND GOING STRONG 8 YEARS LATER…what?? Yep! I added another photo of my husband grilling bison burgers on it from 2 nights ago. We moved across country and almost didn’t have room for it and I told the movers to make room and it was the last item loaded on the truck and it made it completely intact over 3000 miles. 😋
