Great tool, eye opening even!
Never used one before recently. Takes a lot of getting used to if you aren't already used to controlling your pressure, but has honestly taught me more than I thought by just playing around with it. Every stroke: it's length, downward pressure, angle, and speed all factor into your line quality and it's been a fun experiment. The ink flows so well and I never had to worry about it. I was expecting a harder shaft to the pen, but after priming it, I understood why, and even applaud how it's made me change my grip on my tools. The visual design won't win any awards, but it does its job ~perfectly~ and that's all we can really ask for right? Shockingly light to hold and doesn't slide in the fingers as much as I expected. I'm going to buy more in varying sizes. I didn't think I would love it this much!

Good quality
Great quality for the price. Ink may bleed out if too much pressure is applied. The brush doesn’t fray as cheap ones tend to do.

Love this pen, I purchased the fine point.
Things to remember if you've never owned this pen. 1) You have to turn it to the left to unscrew the cap. 2) You have to remove the red seal (after each use I unscrew the pen from the ink cartridge, rinse the nib, reattach the red seal and the ink cartridge and store the pen nib up). 3) I squeezed the ink cartridge gently over a piece of scrap paper to get it to flow, and then rescrewd it onto the nib section to get the ink to flow. 4) Remember, left turn to tighten the cap and right turn to loosen it. Yes, it seems backwards for us westerners but it's all good. 😊 I love how you can go from a thin delicate line to bolder and broader strokes. The ink flows nicely and it's a rich, deep black.

Great, but...
I bought this (and many different brush pens) to experiment during inktober and I have to say that I'm in love with this pen!... When I can use it, The ink tends to dry up pretty quickly, when I squeeze it gently or with firm pressure nothing changes, but when I squeeze it hard the ink comes rushing out in lines too thick. The only way I can get a proper amount is to squeeze it hard, lay it horizontal then come back later when it feels like working. Otherwise it's a great pen that I really enjoy, very comfortable perfect pen size if you're used to using a Wacom stylus

Love this brush pen!
Don't listen to bad reviews. They didn't Remove THE RED BAND! LOL hahahaha!!!! This is a great pen! I have worked with brush pens for a very long time, I Have no issue with leaks, great price and very versatile. The weight is perfect. It's a good size and fits my medium sized hands. Copied a few Hokusai manga images, the pen works fantastic for this media and style. If you are getting leaks you are squeezing the pen too hard. Squeeze a little as the ink moves down into the brush you can see it, then squeeze a little more. The brush will reload with very little squeezing.

Dries black and permanent
How about a sketchbook that was multi-media. Except the paper was so slick that nothing was absorbing. None of the permanent ink from my fountain pens with dry black or permanent. Everything I laid on it was like that except for these pens. It took a slightly longer to dry than it would on normal paper but it looks great and eventually dried permanent. It's inexpensive, easy to use, easy to store. The only thing I hate about this is that they're disposable. In my case it was the only thing that saved the sketchbook.

Awesome!
I am an artist, and this brush made my illustrations super bold. The pen is super comfortable to hold and the ink is very pigmented. The quality of the brush and ink really made my day after drawing. I use this brush mostly for line art and it is awesome!

Unclear instructions! See other reviews for operating tips!
The instructions for use are in Japanese and the pictograms are not very clear. I had to read a couple of reviews to get an inkling (har har) as to how to get the ink to flow. I give the pen itself 5 stars, but only 3 because of the unclear operating instructions. Now that I have finally got the ink to flow I find it is an excellent pen.
