The Pro's and Cons of a 2x4.5' Grow Tent!!!
ProsIt' better than 2 of the other big brands, mainly because the zipper has no leaks! They used what seems like a smaller width zipper unlike the other 2 brands I own. Also has plenty of ports for running wires and ducting. I also haven't really found any thread leaks at all yet. I bet there is atleast 1! But honestly haven't noticed any at all.ConsUnfortunately, the scaffolding and/or metal support poles are a bit weak and the 6" inline I am running, from another quality brand is bit over-kill anyways for a 2x4.5" x 27 or 28" grow tent, so... I think the results will differ with a 4" inline. I also am not a fan of there not being a metal plate to hang my Controller System and no slot for you to run wires from that area which is indeed missing. The clips that hang down on the side of tent are for hanging your Controller system? I hung my metal plate from the noose clips and ran my wiring through the side duct port. It works pretty good. The best thing about a 2x4 is... you can place them against the walls in a rather small room and they barely take up any real estate which is great and if you buy used on Amazon or like-new you can grab one of these for$80.00 a piece, I bought 2 of them to go with my 3x3 drying tent and a 4x4 in storage. The LEDS also reflect very nicely off the narrow 28" walls and if you run the ducting with the filter only in the in the back left corner pushing air out, with the blower sucking air from the tent it raises your temperature up a bit, but makes more room for your LEDS, so the tent isn't crowded. I hope you find this review extremely useful.Enjoy!

Spider farmer tents rock
Wow this tent is absolutely amazing! I wasn't sure what to expect as I've never bought any spider farmer products but I needed a different tent as my cheap costway 3x3 grow tent was letting too much light out through the many pin holes that have developed over the last year so I set up the spider farmer yesterday and moved all my plants into it and this thing is the best most well built canvas I have used to date ,I have 3 150w leds (2 fc 1500 evos and a xs1500 pro) and I couldn't tell my lights were even on until I started opening up the door,im going to buy a new 6.5x6.5 or 8x4 from spider farmer next these tents are my new standard thanks spider farmer you guys killed it

Tall, solid 'windowless'
I sent back some other tents with better pricing because I wanted the height of this one with a 2x2 footprint, since the inline system takes up so much headroom and grow pouch so much on bottom.Someone mentioned the sturdy zipper and, it is. Which is necessary since there is NO observation window - bummer. If I didn't need the height I would have preferred a tent with a window. That said, assembly is possibly with one relatively wimpy person. I should have watched the video on Spider home page, lol. It might have gone quicker. The air vents on the bottom leaked some light upon testing - will have to fiddle with the velcro to see if it can be smothed out. Its not a big deal but don't want to waste any precious rays. Some tape would work.Overall solid tent that I wish I didn't have to unzip to see anything.

Well designed and implemented
This tent is made with high quality components. The canvas is extra-heavy, the zippers are rugged and have nice pull tabs, and the flexible design options make it very easy to cool and vent the tent as you need it done. The only downside that I have noted is that the door tends to want to roll into the tent (and thus, on to your plants) and you have to manage that each time you open the sizable tent door.On the plus-side, the height is very well considered in the sense that you still have around an inch to clear the tops of standard size door frames - this allows you to move the tent into another room without needing to disassemble it. If you are inclined to do it, you can grow taller plants inside this tent. Somewhere around 52" is the max height I would recommend as this should allow for 14" or so of distance between the light and the top of the tallest plant. The tent is over-sized in all dimensions and is a bit of an odd-size. I stand 6'1" and find it comfortable enough to work inside during the build. Once it was up and running and populated, it is easy enough to reach inside and move plants about. Every few days, I rotate my plant around the light, spinning them a bit as I try to ensure even growth. I use the provided mat along with hard plastic saucers which the plants sit upon. As I rotate the plants, I try to keep both the tent and the saucers clean. This isn't about the tent specifically, but I am tossing this piece of info in because it might be helpful. You are probably going to discover that your potting soil has small, fugus eating flies that will hatch. If you search for 'window fly traps' you will find some clear plastic glue traps. You can stick a couple of these to the walls of the tents and it will do a good job of wiping out the flies. (Your other option is to bake the soil at 300 degrees for 45 minutes before using it, but this may also remove some helpful or friendly soil-living micro-organisms.)
