Masterplug SRGDU41PW2-MP Heavy Duty Four Socket Surge Protected Extension Lead with 2 USB Ports, 2 Metre, White

This 4-way socket extension is the second one I've bought from Masterplug - the 6 way version arrived in December 2017 and has given sterling service supporting many, many gadgets in my kitchen ever since. Knowing what a good product they can make (I have 6 of their 3-way, upright surge protected adapter and 5 of their USB double 13A sockets) I had no hesitation in buying this smaller version, which services me and my wife's charging needs in our lounge. The 2m cable, which is so much better than a 1m one (and reassuringly thick) neatly conveys power from behind our 3 seater sofa to the two Alexa controlled sockets which in turn send power via different chargers to our iPads, iPhones and Macbook Pro. I like that this version also has an on/off switch and two additional USB-A charging ports of its own. You can never have enough power options, I think. Very well made and good value for money, I expect it will give me years of service. Highly recommended.

Great extension lead with 2 USB charging outlets, very compact.

I have now 2 of these this one and knew in black. I really like these plugs because they have an on off button on top, they have surge protection and 2 usb ports too. They are from a very reliable brand and I would recommend them.

Got two of these now. Seem solid and well made. The two lights are quite bright so perhaps not great for a bedroom.

Got this to replace old kit and very happy with the purchase. It's very well built, well designed and gives you confidence that it will a: provide power and b: stop your house burning down after a power surge. I would buy this again without a second thought if needed.

The build quality is good, and it has a couple of nice, high amperage USB ports. However, it has an extremely annoying behavior where it remains off after a power outage. We have frequent line maintenance where we live, and our baby monitor and some other sensors in the nursery are on one of these. When we have a power outage, it stays off and we are left confused why the baby monitor and sensors are broken until we finally realize its the plug and go back in to switch it on. The indicator lamps are also extremely bright, which kept the baby up, so we had to put duct tape over the lamps Overall a quality product with some pretty annoying design deficiencies.

Very stylish white gloss look, neat and compact. Power sockets are 'upside down' compared to a standard wall socket outlet -- this is handy if you position unit on a desk, table top or floor in that 'plug-in' PSUs project upwards and unit stays in position and not 'lifted up' by projection of PSU body. 2 USB sockets extremely handy for use.

I now have two of their extension leads and am pleased with both of them. YOu can put the extension lead on the wall of just have it on the floor. there are two USB points on the top which are useful if you want to charge your phone etc and need the sockets to plug in other items. I have one of them in my bedroom and I do find the blue on/off light a bit distracting but this can easily be solved by putting something over it.

Solid build and works well, however not good for my use case: * After unplugging and plugging back (or with smart plug), does not turn back on until you press the button on top. * The blue power LED is so bright that it can double as a flashlight, hence this extension cannot be used in a bedroom. I can use a dimming sticker to cover it, but then it sticks the on/off button in a way that it can't be pressed properly.
