Enjoyed by children
Nice cover. A few more illustrations inside would help. However, proved a popular present for adventure seeking children. Have to recommend this for 7 to 13 year olds. ( Probably a wider range of ages actually). Good interesting chapters and text.

Thoroughly enjoyable.
Detailed and entertaining as always with Bill's books. I haven't read it all yet, just dipped into skills that I hope I'll never need but good to know anyway.

Fab comical but intuitive info!
Bought for my teenage son but my brother in his 40’s loved it equally! - some good tips written in a comical way but fab

Good fun book
Some great chapters like how to remove your appendix. Hope I never have to use it but at least I now know how

Low quality, poor presentation
A compendium of superficial responses to "disasters", but printed on rubbish paper with a couple of cartoons and no illustrations of the various "hacks" suggested. It feels like it was culled from various online sources in a few hours, cobbled together, and then printed for the cheapest price possible. For a book like this to be of any entertainment value, it needs to feel a little more thought through and when you're describing things like knot-tying, you need to splash out on a few drawings. Disappointing.

This book is a delightful and practical read for anyone interested in survival tips, with a healthy dose of humor to keep it light-hearted! How To Survive A Freakin’ Bear Attack isn’t just a collection of tips on how to fend off wild animals, though; it covers a wide range of survival situations, from how to escape quicksand to what to do if you’re stuck in an elevator. The author does an excellent job of mixing real survival knowledge with a cheeky, tongue-in-cheek style that makes each section fun to read. You’ll find yourself laughing while also learning practical tricks you may never have considered before. It’s clear that the book was written with both fun and usefulness in mind. The tips are organized in a way that’s easy to understand and even easier to remember. Plus, it’s full of illustrations and anecdotes that make it feel like you’re having a conversation with a survival expert who doesn’t take themselves too seriously. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves quirky survival guides or just wants to be better prepared for the weirdest, most outlandish situations life could throw at you. It’s both entertaining and surprisingly useful – I’ve already shared a few survival hacks with friends!

Grandsons love it. They are reading it. Good stuff for any person to know and percolate through the brain. No strain on on the brain, so there is no pain for the gain or likelihood of going insane in the rain.

Cute, informative, entertaining. Not boy “scout” quality.
