Dodgy internal connection. Buttons don't work, and when they do they don't do what you'd think.
I've had this for a few weeks now and I've had to downgrade my review form three to one stars. Previous review below in asterisks. The headphone sound quality is absolutely awful. All you hear is bass. Use your own headphones. Pressing any of the non-tactile buttons confuses the device and it assumes you want to always press the play button. Trying to change tracks just makes you pause and play the same song indefinitely, and furiously. The menu navigation is atrocious and non-intuitive. Up and down is governed by the left and right buttons in any menus. The often non-responsive touch-buttons (I can't resort to calling them actual buttons because they're just touch-sensitive decals on the device) may choose to press another button despite where your finger's at. Volume control is the same as 'back through a menu' and the MENU button only ever asks you to return to 'Now playing.' It feels like this thing was produced by an electronics student and not an actual electronics company. I'd give them a low grade.***Just received this product. It would be nice to have pressable buttons rather than touchscreen-type buttons, as I'm used to changing tracks in my pocket. Also, the connection for the USB-to-device is super poor. Transferring large amounts of data into the device takes a long time and if you knock the device a little it disconnects halfway through, making the player 'Not work properly' on my Windows PC. I've had to reformat the device twice within the hour of receiving it to get it to agree with my PC. I expect dodgy wiring with old devices you've mucked about with for years, but having to play the balance-and-don't-touch act when plugging in a NEW device is silly. Cons out of the way, the sound quality (having listened to a couple of the stock songs) and physical material quality of the player feels great. It works as an MP3 player but it's 'cheapness' comes through in its internal design.***

Cheap & cheerful!
Pleasantly surprised with this player, feels well build and sound is fantastic (when used with my expensive headphones:) brought it for listening audiobooks on holiday, thinking for the price I wouldn't cry if it dies after 2 weeks, but it's still going strong. Good battery life. Only con so far is the navigation in the menu, that's pretty rubbish - not user friendly at all. It's fine for my audio books but nightmare to use when trying to listen to my extensive music library. But the again - can't really complain for the price:) i rememberspending over £180 on 1GB Iriver player about 10 years ago...the sound quality is comparable with this £12 thing!

I got it for a discount, and if I could I would refund it.-Everything is ordered alphabetically. This cannot be changed except for creating a playlist with the infuriating method below.-You cannot order your playlist unless you individually add songs using the clunky touchscreen interface for every single song (3 clicks per song, after you scroll through your entire playlist or album)-My product broke after 5 months of use in the middle of a song, it would not respond to the power button or being charged.Overall it's average, but a sensible customer would never pay full price for this.

good sound and construction, but heavy and lock not well implemented
quiet heavy for size, but construction is good, sound is good playing mp3, but lock mechanism is poorly implemented, (ie. cant stop player from accidentally turning on). Unfortunately the headphone socket broke on mine after 7 months but gohappybuy very kindly offered an replacement that arrived in a couple of days

I checked this product on various sites to look at all the reviews,a lot of negative comments which thought were unfair so far my experience is very good and was really surprised by the quality of the reception on the radio I can now listen to my favourite station whenever I like the controls are a bit sensitive like swiping on a smart phone ,the size of memory is exactly what I wanted downloading from my CD's no problem I use mp3 as the wav lossless does not fully download media information ie:- play order, artist etc but for the money it ticks 98% of the boxxes.

Great little MP3 player
Great product, I'm really please with it.I had previously bought a cheaper player (not related to this product or seller). There were problems with connection to the earphones and it just didn't feel strong enough. Returned! No problems with this though, it feels sturdy to the touch and strong enough to last. Its small so wont ever take up much space. The sound is fantastic, the earphones are ok but to get the best out of it, a decent set of earphones are needed. But that's the same for any device.Overall I'm very pleased with this.It came in good time and was well packaged.

Very pleased with this once I bought a decent pair of earphones. The earphones that came with it were terrible which you could easily blame on the device if you didn't know better. A better pair gave the MP3 player a massively improved sound. I like the fact that there are two storage possibilities, via a micro card and without. The FM radio is a nice extra but I haven't used the other features. All easy to operate by intuition. You need good eye sight or to put on your glasses to read the displays!
