This was recommended by a friend and truly arrived just when I was desperate for help, literally. I'm in my 70's, hubby in 80's, by ourselves. He recently came home from the hospital and could barely walk. Maybe TMI, but it was approaching 10 pm. He couldn't, even with me using all my strength, get off the commode. I checked the front door and the package arrived. Tore open the packaging. Simple to figure out how to use. This one just goes around the middle with seven potential lift loops. Fastens like a child's high chair buckle, only stronger. So glad it didn't have to go around his legs or under him. Got it around him. I was able to help lift him so he could stand up, accompany him to the nearby bed. For less than $20, this is an outstanding value. I obviously highly recommend it!

Love this one since I’m new to caregiving, it’s faster and easier for me to snap the belt rather than use the old school belt to buckle

I love this belt, I am a caretaker who struggles to assist clients with a regular gait belt. I love how sturdy and comfortable this gait belt is for both caregiver and the person being assisted with it.I do wish it tightened more, on smaller people it just doesn't fit snug and winds up riding up making it a challenge to assist the person wearing it. Overall though it is a great gait belt and I would recommend it for anyone who struggles to use a regular belt. The grips on this made me feel I and a better grip and more control while assisting.

Versatile Well Made and easy to use. Sometimes i wear it so that my wife can stabilize on herself me.

Going off my cousin who used this belt with my mom. She said it worked great for getting her out of the chair and also walking with her down the hall.

I was looking for a device to help me lift my husband in and out of his recliner and wheelchair. This seemed like a good product to do just that. Unfortunately the buckle is so tight I could not unlatch due to arthritis in my hands. I'm afraid that if I do get it on my husband I will not be able to get it off. I returned for a refund.

The handles are great to use. Not sure if I would keep this on the person like I would a normal gait belt because the release clip is very hard and uncomfortable on the back while sitting. I did not use this on my person that needed help lifting due to the extremely hard to press release pincher connector. I only used it on me so they could grab. I'm scared to put it on them and not be able to get it off. I could at least crawl out of it if I couldn't depress the clip. Our Occupational Therapist couldn't get the clip released. So I don't recommend this to anyone with sore hands or even slightly weak hands.
