Logmaster 6 Tonne Electric Log Splitter with Stand, 2200W Splits Green & Hard Wood, with Safety Guard & Wheels

If like me you have used up all the nice sized wood and are left with piles of huge logs that won't fit in a stove then this is the answer. I have a herniated disc so using an axe on stuff or using an attention hungry chainsaw is just not gonna happen and this product deals with the problem. With ease. Some of my wood has been drying for years and it pops like a small explosion but this doesn't have a problem no matter how hard and dry. Ive actually ordered a safety helmet and glasses since. Wonderful machine and arrived in a couple of days. It does weigh a bit so be a bit careful when moving it. I have about six acres that needs looking after so that can be a lot of wood. Great product I just wish I had discovered it a long time ago.

Log splitter was well packaged and delivered on time. The m/c seems sturdy and well constructed, as it is so heavy the only way to fit the stand is to turn the splitter upside down. Splits logs with ease, hopefully the axe is now redundant. The only thing I could not find in the instructions is whether u have to return the ram fully before splitting the next log as I only require 8inch logs to fit a small fire, if this is the case it would be very time consuming.

Initially, very hard work to set up on stand, wasn't informed that you need circlip pliers to remove wheels, but, once it was set up I am very pleased with this product saving myself hours of back-breaking work, highly recommended, especially because it comes with stand which I think is very necessary to avoid lots of bending.

I have used the Logmaster for the first time over the last two days splitting 2m3 of billeted logs . The machine has performed really well .The machine has handled very hard logs with split grains and big knots with ease. I really like the safety feature of two handed operations, it makes sure my hands are never near the ram or the splitter. I will definitely recommend this machine for quite heavy duty domestic use.The Logmaster has a very robust frame, it is quite heavy but this gives a very stable work platform, and the wheels really help when moving the machine.

Good points: easy to operate; splits logs wellBad points: heavy to manoeuvre when putting the stand together (needs 2 people); disappointing that you need 2 hands to operate the splitter as you need to keep stopping to reload.

This machine is probably the best buy I have made. It works extremely well and handles almost anything given to it. The only downside is that, in order to operate it with both hands, your face is quite close to the machine. This is a minor point as the split logs do NOT fly backwards into your face.

when you reach a certain age in life you need gadgets that can make life easier this is a must, when I noticed the price for a bag of logs with10 in the bag for £4.00, thinking of starting a log supply, it does help of having 2 acres of you own coppice
