I had terrible success with this. But i don’t know if it was user error, the roller, or the material. In the end I managed to passably fix the wall but it mostly just pulled the wall stuff off instead of pressing the pattern in.

The roller worked great and the pattern really showed up. What I did was added a little paint to the texture so it wouldn’t be white. I haven’t painted the wall yet so the pictures above are raw texture. Keep a clean water bucket handy to clean the roller of built up texture which will keep the pattern from appearing. I also rolled the texture on with a regular paint roller because too much texture on the wall and the pattern wouldn’t show. Also, don’t let it dry on you! Work in small sections.

Only works on thin coats of texture paint, otherwise it's just a sticky mess. Also seems best used for walls or floors - ceiling was a no-go, which was what I needed it for (and likely what you'd need it for, too)

Get your texture right... roll it on... flatten with putty knife... looks awesome.
