The side panels can be placed at any angle and it folds down completely.

Does it need assembly?

I bought the guard sometime ago. It is sturdy and has a way of 'locking' the doors together. I am sure it arrived fully assembled - but as I say it was a while ago!

At what height are the hooks to secure it to the wall?

Approximately 20cm from the bottom and 10cm from the top.

Hooks stick out 1.5 inches. Overall complete length including hooks is 78 inches. It is a great, well made product if it fits and keeps children very safe.
