Read many mixed reviews about parts coming loose etc, but for me this is an amazing bit of kit and has been solid since I’ve had it. Finally able to practice for as long as I want without worrying about the neighbours etc. A must have for any drummer who wants to practice and brush up on their techniques.

I'm a 19 year old drummer, who's not had his first proper drum kit in over 5 years. I've just been banging and practising rudiments on just one ShawX pad.As soon as I saw this drum kit, I told my teacher who then recommended me to buy this kit as he has it also. I was very skeptical if it was just a piece of aluminium with a few pads on it, but it's more than that.I've had this for a few months now, and it still is going strong. You can personalize the way you want the pads very easily and I must say even without a drum pedal, I'm making a lot of progress.The size of this kit overall in width is so small that I can fit it into an office cubical, meaning that it's definitely space friendly. The sound of the pads are exactly how they should be sounding and I can't say much else about this kit.You can also adjust the height of the kit itself and even position the bass pedal pad! Not to mention the kit has a little metal flap on the bottom which can be tweaked to help you stabilize the kit --For the record it does come with an Alan key which helps you change out the pads around and that.Overall an amazing practice kit on the market, and certainly one of the best. Highly recommend this kit to any drummer or musician!

Its a good solid frame but the pads feel tinny i think because they are too thin and are not resting on anything solid they sound a bit loud.After trial and error my solution was to stick Evans bass drum eq patches bought on Amazon onto the pads choosing the right positioning as they are not very big and this alone changed the tone of the pads for the better, I then tried my drum sticks with drum stick mute push on rubber things (see pics ) and this worked a treat they now sound similar to the Evans pad so the sound isn't annoying now.I'm a month into learning drums and I use this to practice beats and fills and anything else I see on YouTube once I've mastered the sticking I then try it on my edrums in the garage.I wouldn't buy this for a child to learn drumming it would be boring better off with a cheapish electronic drum set so you hear the real sounds of the drums thats the fun bit this is no fun to play but really good at practicing with and less frustrating when learning new things because the mistakes don't notice as much as it all sounds the same anyway lol.Its worth saying you could completely change the pads with your own bought ones as long as they have a screw thread at the back of them so up to a 10 inch practice pad with a screw hole thread on the back of the pad.A tad expensive but overall happy I've got it.
