Remastered using the most advanced audio techniques available, this release of the unforgettable score of AKIRA is peerless in quality and audio fidelity. The vinyl release features audio so pristine that it invokes the “hypersonic effect”, a physiological change in the brain that occurs when listening to sounds above the audible human range (40kHz+). The result is a comfortable, relaxed feeling induced by the hi-frequency audio. In addition to the CD release, the vinyl version is a double 180g gatefold LP. The discs are packaged in high quality printed sleeves displaying artwork from the film. A download card includes a lengthy commentary by composer Dr. Yamashiro on topics ranging from AKIRA to Geinoh Yamashirogumi to his work in advanced brain studies is also included.

Visual treat, audio slightly disappointing..
Bought this on a whim, had a fair idea of what I was going to get. Visually this is very very cool, but don't have high expectations of the audio.I own the original JVC soundtrack issue on CD and the difference in volume is ridiculous. Also worth noting that the track order of this Symphonic Suite differs from the original soundtrack.I don't regret buying it, I've wanted this soundtrack on vinyl for a long time, but it's a shame about the volume.

Double Album - Vinyl purchase. good pressing, no warp, excellent sleeve graphics. Minimal pressing noise, great sound quality. This is the definitive vinyl issue, superb.

Mesmerizing fusion
A record which fuses electronic music, Indonesian gamelan and traditional-style Japanese singing, and somehow manages to pull it off. A masterpiece soundtrack to a masterpiece movie.

Arrived scratched
Great soundtrack mine came with a small scratch on one side and some of the sticker on the disc was torn off but besides that great
