I expect a basic 3d taster & assumed it was a kinematic style contact. It seems to be what i expected & it seems to work fine and is relatively accurate. All good considering the price.Also the finish quality was nicer than I expected which was a bonus

the touch probe can not work with my machine, the seller is not professional, can not get any help, i have to figure it out by myself.update: it took 2 days to make it work with my machine, but the accuracy is not as advertised, did not get any help from the seller.

The thing won't hold an accurate calibration. To get some sort of accuracy I had to rotate the probe to always use the same face. That got me down to about a thousandth of an inch.In the Z-axis It's completely worthless it's reading varies by almost half of a tenth of an inch. It's really kind of ridiculous. It might work fine for a router table, but not for a VMC.

Keeps up with an older Renishaw just fine, highly repeatable and so nice that I bought one just to mount and set tools

This cnc probe is nice and easily comparable if not better to my $300 three switch probe. Of course it is not as repeatable as my four switch probe. It has a steel probe tip rather than a ruby, it uses a standard probe tip so this is easy to remedy. The two color LED indicator is 360 deg so that is very nice. The problem for me is this unit is electronic on the output and as such MUST have a constant source of power in addition to the probe and ground signal. YOU MUST HAVE A THREE WIRE PROBE CONNECTOR, IT WILL NOT WORK ON A TWO WIRE SYSTEM.
