Finally - a wireless router that works!
Trying to get my Internet home back to normal with our new AT&T wirelessFirst, the background. We are in a semi-rural area and have been using (slow) Frontier DSL for 12+ years. We are two old people, no gaming. We have one TV, two desktop computers, a couple of tablets and about 30-40 smart devices, mostly plugs and lights. No cable or fiber available, though fiber is within a a block or so, they won't bring it to our private lane. So, about 6 weeks ago, copper thieves removed the Frontier trunkline along a major highway, about 3/4 of a mile from our home. Lots of people were down. It took Frontier 5 weeks to get the line replaced. In the meantime, we got tired of waiting and contacted Verizon (who had our phone service) and T-Mobile to try and get wireless data service. They both said unavailable for our location. So, we walked in the door at our local AT&T store, which I found out is not a corporate store, and they said "Boy, do we have the plan for you"!Over a couple of visits they set us up with a business account for both the phones and unlimited data (I'm still not sure what their version of Unlimited is). They suggested I purchase the Netgear Nighthawk M6 Pro off of Amazon and they showed me a refurb one for $129. or so. Fine. The M6 came in and we took it to the store to get it activated. This is my first experience using a hotspot. It was not fun going through all of my devices to get them connected to the new modem, but I got it done.Unfortunately, the thing got quite hot. Yes, we pulled the battery and left it exposed to open air. Shortly thereafter it started shutting down, then re-booting, I guess because it was so hot. I first took it to the AT&T store and the helpful guy there made an adjustment to the APN settings. That did nothing, so I returned the modem through Amazon and had had a replacement sent out. Okay, things happen. The new one came in and I simply swapped the SIM card and we were up and running again. The signal was very weak at the two extremes of our home, so my Alexa voice activated devices were hit or miss whether they worked or not. (The first M6 Pro was the same). Then, it started locking up. It wouldn't shut down completely and re-boot like the first one, but when my phone was connected to the Wifi, I would get a message: Connected / Limited Connection, which meant no internet. It may work fine for a couple of hours, then stop. The Internet was no help, suggesting I check date settings, etc. Finally returned it through Amazon. So, back to the AT&T store. (5th time? Maybe the 6th?) Since we don't have a need for a portable router, the nice guy there said many of his customers were having good luck with the ZTE Connect-Hub 5G 4GLTE WiFi 6 Router with Gigabit Ethernet Support mmWave Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X55. That sounded good since it had 2 ethernet ports and was supposed to have better range. When it came in, I brought it to my AT&T store and they set it up for me.So, the short end of my long story - it works great!!! I have pretty good coverage throughout the house, I am able to connect all my smart devices, the speeds are good and we can stream just fine. And best yet, over the course of a week, NOT ONE DISCONNECTION! So far at least, I can highly recommend this modem/router.

GREAT Solution for Cellular Back-Up
I really like this hub! I bought it (great price) for cellular back-up to my cable Internet provider. Their service is fast and reliable, but like anything else, it goes down a couple of times a year. I work at home so I really wanted to have back-up. I am using it with Verizon with no problem. I have it directly connected to my router so I have the hub's wifi disabled. When I loose my primary input, it is online within 1-2 seconds without me doing anything and with pretty reasonable bandwidth. Certainly fine for being on a web conference, checking email and even streaming the news. I get a text message from my router that it has switched to it's back-up input and so I can keep tabs on any issues and make sure that my cable providers service is being addressed. Highly recommend! Easy set-up and reliable operation.

Slow WiFi
It’s nice and easy to install. I use a SIM card from T-Mobile with my current Magenta plan with unlimited data.I asked a question but can’t answer to the people who answered me so I am giving more details here!Yes I do have a T-mobile tower very close by, and yes I selected 5G not the 2.4G.It does work and shows a good signal strength. However, the wifi is slow, very slow. Compared with my iPhone: I have to wait for the page to be loaded on my phone when connected through the wifi. It is super fast when I disconnect the wifi on my phone and use the 5G directly.I need the Telus 5G to WiFi to connect my printer (works) and was hoping my tv via Alexa: way too slow and does not work or barely (has to reload every 30 sec!).I don’t know if I should return that device and buy a more powerful one (is there any??) or if there is a way to set it up differently??

Mine didn't work but I didn't have a 2nd working sim
SIM works in Laptop had worked in 4G hotspot in the past, WIFI 6 worked properly login was a pain no ip text so your computer hates it when things aren't going properly and there's no internet. Honestly there's a reason it's $149 and the 5G products are all mostly overpriced, $700 netgear? nope... There are two antenna ports for WIFI it seemed one for 2.4 and one for 5.8 (looked like a wifi logo) but they could have been LTE. and this will work for someone at some point. I was using AT&T and I didn't try bring it to the AT&T store to have it added properly, if I have to buy the nighthawk I'll get it from AT&T for less.

Easy setup
Work great so far. Getting 40-45 MB with LTE. I am using manual Verizon APN settings. I do not have 5G in my area. I checked it at friend place , where 5G is available and getting 125MB speed. I previously tested Cudy and Yeacomm at my place , this one have better and stable connection. Some time it connects with Verizon LTE+ and give up to 90-100 MB speed.
