The first one i bought was ok, but i decided to look for an enhanced version. Firstly, gorgeous. Yes, it is made frim plaatic, but you would not know just looking. It looks like an authentic dark wooden vase. Win. I absoloutely adore this diffuser, not least it's affordability. While using the small lid creates a lovely changing mood light, I prefer the tall, chimney-like lid for aesthetics and increased diffusion. I have always used incense and adore naturally derived fragrances/homeopathy and this is a great way to combine this with the various health benefits I find it allows the diffused air to reach higher and fill a greater space.
