Jane Eyre (Wordsworth Luxe Collection)

The cover for this book is super pretty. It did come with some scratches and marks on the corner, but almost not noticeable. Great buy!

Good reading and it also looks pretty

This was a gift for a dear friend who is collecting her favorite books for her bookshelf. It’s a gorgeous edition for any collector.

It really is pretty. But there is no protection during shipping. It got all scuffed up.

This is a lovely editon

I was so excited to get this but noticed tears on the spine and back. This is definitely not new as described.

This review is for the Wordsworth Luxe edition of Jane Eyre and not the contents of the novel (which are wonderful). I bought this book to upgrade from my worn-out paperback copy of Jane Eyre. I had high hopes for this version and as there were no reviews yet I decided to check it out, but unfortunately, it is very poor quality for what they’re calling their “Luxe” edition. The good: This book has a lovely cover and interior page design. It also has a nice lavender coloring on the sides and a standard quality ribbon of similar color. The text quality on the pages is nice and a good size for comfortable reading. The bad: The overall quality is very poor. The exterior of the book is made of what feels like construction paper, and it arrived with many blemishes and defects to its sides and corners. This book looks like it’s 25 years old, and is definitely not worth a cost of $20. Even if you manage to buy a new copy in relatively good shape, I can’t see this offering any kind of long term durability. Overall, I would not recommend this product to someone looking for a nice reading or display copy of Jane Eyre. As a note: I also purchased the Luxe edition of Little Women, and left a similar review on that page as well. Both books had the same quality issues, but Little Women was also missing part of the book.

It was loose in a box with only crumped packing paper to protect it. As a result, there's a folded page, scuff marks on the corners, and the binding is dented.

J'avais commandé "wuthering heights" de la même collection en même temps (le 17 février donc) et il n'est toujours pas arrivé (le 25 avril)... De plus, pour un livre neuf les coins du livres étaient déjà cabossés... dommage pour une belle édition comme celle-ci !

Beautiful edition

Having watched several film adaptions the book fills in all the gaps. A beautiful christian story of days gone by when the world had a truer vision of our creator God, than the mishmash of ‘ideas’ around today.
