I had one (same exact design but an earlier nameplate called "Outback") in my log cabin for 17 years. It was excellent and functioned without a flaw during that time until the whole area was destroyed by the 2020 Mendocino NF August Complex wildfire. You just plumb it up as you would any propane appliance. I used #20 propane bottles located outside for both this stove/oven and my 30 gal hot water heater, but a 250 gallon tank could be used as well if you had a larger home. The adapter fittings are available in any decent hardware store in the plumbing fittings section. You just have to mix and match with galvanized fittings. It really worked well. Ignore the ignorant city folks below who don't under understand how propane is used all over rural America, but aren't shy to share their false ideas. **Q: will the oven fit a 13 x 9 pan?** A: yes it will fit 13 x 9 ..also has two oven racks.. **Q: Is the current model with built-in temperature sensor in the console or separate temperature sensor for the oven ? In the reviews I can see both model** A: Hi, Patrick. The newer version such as the ones I have and the stainless steel model show here do indeed have a built in temperature gauge/thermometer. If you look closely at the front you will see three gas dials. Left controls left burner.Right the right burner and the middle one controls oven. if you look closely between the middle (oven) gas dial and the right (right stove burner) gas dial you can see the oven temp gauge. Remember this is just a temp gauge only, not a true thermostat. You control oven temp manually by turning your oven gas dial. You can also slightly open door for a minute or so, too, if need be. I do not believe it is as difficult to regulate oven temp as some might lead you to believe. Also both of my ovens temp gauges are SPOT ON accurate. I checked them with several additional thermometers. You will not regret this purchase. I use these ovens for everything from baking cookies and cakes and pastries to casseroles and roasting meats when I have catering gigs that require extra oven space. just remember to occassional turn your pans by 180 degress and swap from top to bottom (items cooking on bottom get moved to top shelf and top shelf item to bottom shelf) occassionally and nothing will burn or scorch. Heck you might very well already have to do that with your home oven. **Q: I'm looking for an oven for an rv. Now I'd imagine I'd have to probably open a window when in use but how hot does it get to the touch on the outside?** A: Don't use an oven designed for cooking outdoors inside an RV. Most people never use their factory installed RV oven anyway. The most they use are the top burners. I am not comfortable cooking with gas so in my RV I used to use a reg electric hot plate. Just ordered an induction cooking single burner thing. But seriously, don't mess around w your safety.
