Octopus Write and Draw Ink - Black Elephant Waterproof Ink for Writing, Drawing and Calligraphy - Non-fading, 50ml

Absolutely love this stuff. I wanted a drawing ink that I could use in my foundation pens and paint with watercolours after, and this was exactly what I was looking for. It’s a bit on the pricey side compared to the Diamine inks I’m used to, but definitely not as expensive as other inks out there. I have found that you need to make sure that the ink has been properly dried for a few hours otherwise the ink still can have a tendency to run if you try to paint over it too soon. I did read somewhere that it might be best to have dedicated fountain pens for this waterproof ink so I have Lamy pens with different sized nibs that I use with this ink and nothing else, but honestly it rinses out fine with just water that I probably wouldn’t have a problem switching between different inks. Haven’t needed to use an ink flush fluid or anything. I wouldn’t let the ink dry in the pen though just to be safe. Will definitely use again and even try different shades in the range. Highly recommend.

Although this ink is expensive you get a good size bottle and it’s one of the few options out there for waterproof ink you can use in a fountain pen making it suitable to use for line and wash or mixed media. Lovely colour for people who don’t want to use a pure black. The bottle hasn’t ever leaked on me.

Good quality ink, waterproof (which is ideal). I have not tried this particular colour yet, but have used the black and it does not disappoint. Would recommend.

Good quality ink.Fully waterproof when dry. Refilled my fountain pen several times, and no issues with it getting clogged up with dry ink. I'm using it for sketching, and I chose a less black ink for a more subtle drawing effect. I use "Grey Meercat ", and it gives a nice grey/ black neutral tone.

I got the Blue Koi some time ago, looking for some water-proof inks I could use at work. I had some pigment inks before but most often had issues with the flow and dry starts. So far this one performs with flying colours, but only really tried it in a handful of pens. It is a moderately saturated mid-blue with no undertones, and does present decent shading on fp-paper.

Works well in my fountain pens and, once dry, is permanent and waterproof as advertised. Doesn't block up my pen either.

Bought this ink to use in a Lamy refillable cartridge and can't fault it. Very smooth and lovely dark black ink and once dry, very waterproof

Very black glossy ink. Good for drawing and writing. Very “sticky” would not use in a fountain pen. Dip pen nibs need to be cleaned asap otherwise ink will dry and build up.

Unfortunately not opaque enough! Doesn't show well on black paper. Get De Atramentis Document Ink in white instead.

Die Farbe wirkt eher dunkelgrau, aber man erkennt den bläulichen Ton. Sehr schön! Der Konverter verklebt nicht, obwohl sie dokumentenecht ist.
