Bissell Clear View w retractable cord
I can’t speak of the longevity of this vacuum, but I’m very pleased with it so far. Having tried the battery stick type, the robot, and the canister, I like this upright the best. The stick vacuum battery died twice, and it was like $100 to replace. I liked the convenience, but not the expense or not being able to clean the floors while waiting for a new battery to arrive. The robot vacuum was also convenient, but in my opinion, it didn’t pick up nearly as well as a standard vacuum cleaner.. if you live in a house with large rooms and not too much furniture, the robot will be fine, but for small apartments, it bounces off every surface and goes over the same place three times, while missing other spots completely. And if you want to rearrange your furniture, you have to re-map the whole place. It would take 45 minutes and not do a great job.As for the canister vacuum, it was cumbersome to drag around, and it would kept getting caught when navigating around doorways.THIS ONE: It seems very well made and sturdy. I’m a senior, and it was easy for even me to put together. Just snap the hose ends in I put the extra brushes on their holders.. it has a long, retractable cord, which is a definite bonus -no more cords to tediously wrap around the handles. It does not make an annoying, high-pitched wine like some vacuums. It has a wand release and brushes to clean high areas like blinds or curtains, and low areas like baseboards. You can adjust the height for carpet or bar floor. I have a low pile carpet and I left the setting in the middle and it worked fine on my carpet and my kitchen floor. The suction power was great and I got quite a bit of dust out of my carpet. I also like that I can see what came off my floor and empty the container very easily. I think this vacuum is well worth the price and I highly recommend it.

Better for People With Bad Backs
Oh my goodness! THANK YOU Bissell, THANK you Amazon and THANK YOU to the carrier who got this delivered yesterday with us needing a working vacuum as some things in the kitchen underwent fixing. I have a herniated disc in my mid back so this Vacuum is AMAZING. My husband bought this for me on Sunday and I looked up the other Bissell model we have and that one (don't get me wrong, Bissell is a GOOD brand) but that one it looks to be 19-21 pounds where as this one is just shy over 15 and 4-6 pounds may not sound like all that big of a difference to the average person but for me it means the difference of a day of physical recovery. When using the older heavier Bissell, I would after several hours of vacuuming our smaller living space be on the verge of tears and could barely move. I used this last night on most all the floors and some of the areas above the floor that needed vacuuming and NO BACK PAIN! Whoever designed this model--THANK YOU A MILLION! I love that it has a retractable cord, its simple hose detachment the length of the handle nozzle and its button detachment. The ONLY suggestions would be to have this model in different cord lengths and a better stand because of the attachments fell off while vacuuming whilst the other stayed on its stand. I would love to know if this model comes with long attachments for the handle to reach high vaulted ceilings. The suction--I have more confidence in this than the older pet geared model Bissell we have, but to be fair that could be because its an older vacuum. But yes, that is my review. I am very, very happy with it and hope and pray we get a good long run out of this vacuum!

I approve.
Lightweight. Easy to assemble. Not too loud. I like the power cord winding feature. I read some bad reviews on it but thought I would trust the good ones I read. 100$ is pretty cheap for a vacuum in my opinion. I overall think it works great for the price. Amazed in how much it scoops up from a carpet that looks clean.

Great, budget vacuum
The Bissell CleanView Upright Bagless Vacuum Cleaner with Active Wand is a solid, mid-range option that aims to deliver powerful cleaning performance without breaking the bank. I've used it for [mention time frame, e.g., a few weeks, several months] and have found its strengths and weaknesses to be fairly clear. What I Liked:Strong Suction Power: This vacuum truly lives up to its "CleanView" name. It has consistently delivered impressive suction on both carpet and hard floors. I've been able to pick up pet hair, dust bunnies, and the usual household debris with relative ease.Active Wand is a Game Changer: The Active Wand, essentially a detachable hose with a nozzle, is a major highlight. It's incredibly convenient for reaching corners, stairs, upholstery, and other tight spots. This feature alone makes it more versatile than many basic upright vacuums.Bagless Convenience: The bagless design is a definite plus. Emptying the dustbin is straightforward and eliminates the ongoing expense of buying replacement bags.Easy to Maneuver (Mostly): The vacuum is generally lightweight and easy to push around, making cleaning larger areas less of a chore. The swivel steering is helpful for navigating around furniture.Decent Price Point: Compared to high-end models, the Bissell CleanView offers a good balance of performance and affordability. It's a great option for those on a budget who still want a powerful vacuum.Multiple Attachments: The included attachments (like the crevice tool and dusting brush) are useful for various cleaning tasks. They are easily attached to the wand for added reach. What Could Be Improved:Noisy Operation: This vacuum is definitely on the louder side. It's not a deal-breaker, but if you're sensitive to noise or have young children, it might be an issue.Corded Operation: While the cord provides consistent power, it can be a bit cumbersome to maneuver around. A cordless version would be a considerable upgrade.Dustbin Capacity: The dustbin, while decent, can fill up relatively quickly, particularly if you have pets or long hair. You might find yourself emptying it more frequently than with some other vacuums.Build Quality Feels a Bit Lightweight: While the vacuum is sturdy enough for general use, some of the plastic components feel a little flimsy. I'm not sure how well they'll hold up over the long term.Stiff Hose: While the hose is functional, it can be a little stiff, making it harder to reach certain angles.Overall:The Bissell CleanView Upright Bagless Vacuum Cleaner with Active Wand is a powerful and versatile option that offers impressive cleaning power at a reasonable price. The Active Wand is a standout feature that makes cleaning difficult-to-reach areas much easier. While it does have some drawbacks, such as the noise level, corded operation, and somewhat small dustbin, the overall performance and value make it a solid choice for everyday cleaning.Who is this vacuum for?Budget-conscious individuals: This vacuum provides good performance without costing a fortune.Apartment dwellers: Its size and maneuverability make it suitable for smaller spaces.Pet owners (with moderate shedding): It handles pet hair well, though frequent emptying may be required. Those who value versatility: The Active Wand is a major selling point for those who need to clean above-floor areas.
