I brought my old Tovolo spoon with me to finish preparing my part of a holiday meal with my family. My mom admired it, and I told her it really was a great spoon, my favorite to cook with, in fact. Since she liked it so much, I bought one to give her for Christmas, plus an extra one for myself, so I’ll have a second one when my old one is in the dishwasher! The silicone spoon part is the perfect amount of hardness. It won’t bend and flop like a flimsy spatula. It’s sturdy enough that you can use it to break up semi-frozen ground beef or scrape some stuck-on mixture out of a corner of a skillet, but it won’t scratch your pot in any way. Since it’s silicone, you don’t have to worry about it melting either. (I’ve probably tested that part more than I should, but know it handles heat really well.) The metal handle is surprisingly comfortable and easy to hold. It grips well and doesn’t tire out your hand. It doesn’t get hot either. Like I said before, I have another Tovolo spoon almost identical to this one (except it’s red instead of gray). I’ve had it for years, and it’s my go-to spoon to cook with. I run it through the dishwasher every time too. It’s held up really well.

Must have kitchen utensil. Most amazing and versatile spoon. Soft enough for non-stick surfaces yet strong enough to break up meats and frozen items. I have two and will probably buy more.

Great quality and goes well with my other Tovolo spatulas. I especially love the stainless steel handle as it can go in the dishwasher without damage. I use this spoon all the time.

Got to be one of my favorite utensils. It handles heat well, has a nice grip, and of course most importantly is nonstick safe!

All time favorite spoons for cooking. Extremely sturdy, doesn't scratch, doesn't stain, easy to clean, dishwasher safe, well priced - what else do you want in a spoon.... I have a black one and a grey one and use every single day.

I love this spoon, but don't by it expecting it to be the "do everything" spoon in your kitchen. The silicone cup piece is a little thick and shallow and lies straight in line with the handle. For that reason it can be hard to serve with. Don't expect to be able to scoop things unless they stick together, like risotto. Mostly I use it for heavier duty tasks like mixing cookie dough or chili. The construction is very solid, no gap between the silicone and stainless steel. It is really nice looking and since it is silicone and steel there is never any worry of melting. The only caution is that if you rest the metal handle against the edge of non-stick pot you can chip the finish. Not a huge concern, but it has happened once. In the end of the day I love this implement, but do also make sure that you have a spoon with more scoop to it.

Overall, this is a good spoon. It works well for soups, mixing batter, serving casseroles, and all the other good stuff you would normally use a spoon like this for. The silicone part of the spoon has enough give to scrape, but it still more then rigid enough. The construction seems solid too. I don't expect the handle to separate from the silicone anytime soon. If there is one problem I have with the spoon it would be in the design with the metal handle. Leave it in a pot of soup and you will not be able to hold it for a little while. This is a very easy problem to avoid, and I can't honestly think of an way around this issue, as silicone alone would not be strong enough. I will be using this spoon in the kitchen for as long as it will hold up. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I never thought I would be so enthusiastic about a spoon! This is a great step up from wooden spoons. Unlike other silicone spoons that I have tried, this spoon has some internal support in the bowl of the spoon, making this spoon more useful to scrape along the bottoms of pans. I had some concerns that food would get in the seam between the silicone and the metal, but that does not seem to be an issue. I use this spoon and a long-handled version of it when making candy, and sugary messes clean up from this spoon very easily. The only drawback that I have found with this spoon is that like other metal utensils, it will get hot if left in the pan while cooking. However, I do not do this much, so it hasn't been an issue for me.

Love the look of this Tovolo line. The quality is very good. The handle is strong, the spoon is gentle on all your cookware, and it cleans up so nicely by hand or in the dishwasher.
