USB Capture SDI Plus– 1-Channel SDI to USB 3.1 Audio/Video Capture with Loop-Through, Analog Line I/O, Up to 2K / 120fps (32050)

I feel a little bad for not reviewing this sooner. This is a great item and I'd highly recommend it! Thanks to COVID, all of my live events in 2020 transitioned to virtual events - most frequently occurring through Zoom. In order to accommodate this change, I needed a reliable, high quality method of feeding a 1080p HD-SDI signal from either a broadcast camera or a video switcher into a virtual environment. This unassuming little box did the deed with exemplary results. There was never any issue with the video and audio losing sync - even after being on for hours. And just as the marketing suggests, it was always plug and play. The only caution I'd give is that the box does get warm / hot. I tried to keep it on an open table with plenty of space for air flow. I can't say if this helped, but through multiple events and dress / tech rehearsals it never failed or faltered.

We use this for streaming our church service. Easy, firm connection to the SDI port from the coax from camera, then plugs right into the USB port on a laptop. Windows found it immediately. It just works! I love that the connections are firm and tight.

Magewell always works...Runs a bit hot though, but it works. Oh and the price is not fun...just saying.

Hands down, best plug and play tool for getting a video signal in/out of my Macbook Air M2 and audio. Easy plug and play.

We use this to live stream production cameras to off site clients. Works great with Zoom. Very easy to use once set up it's just plug and play. Great value for the money too.

Used it last night for the first time at a private event. Plug and go!!! The live feed that was captured by the Magewell SDI USB Capture Plus was simply perfect. Crystal clear image on both output connedtions. Considering that the captured live feed being processed by the 3rd party software before being outputted back to the projectors in my case. I just hope that it keeps up the good work and doesn't bug out one day.

Magewell have been a staple in my workflow and although i returned this one (i needed another HDMI not SDI) i continue to go with what works best, always works and if put side by side capture a cleaner image. There is no substitution for a product of this caliber at this price point.

It was good till I updated the firmware, and it turned into a brick. Followed all the prompts, not user error as far as I can tell. I'm going to switch to using a 12G converter to HDMI, then use an Elgato 4k x to do 4k (instead of HD with this thing), and it will have less latency (which with this, the audio going into my computer is off by six frames). I will have a latency of about 30ms with my new setup vs the 100-150 I get with the Magewell. Somewhat glad it exploded, but not happy that it cost so much money to be mediocre and then turn into a paperweight. Usually, I have had a great experience with many Magewell products I've owned over the years.
