Great coffee maker replacing multiple devices on my coffee counter
I'm loving this new coffee maker, which is replacing my Keurig machine and my Nespresso original line machine and can do even more than both of them. And it replaces my battery operated frothing wand. It's built-in frother does the job better (the battery-powered one spun at different speeds depending on battery strength, and at full speed I had to slow it down manually to keep it from overflowing my small espresso cups. So this machine is going to seriously declutter my coffee-making area. So far I have tried out making coffee with K-cups, making single cups from grounds with its reusable filter, and making lattes. One note about K-cups: works great with store-bought pods, but I used to use my Keurig with a reusable pod. When I tried that (which the instructions do say doesn't work) the needle comes down at an angle and hits outside the edge of the cup's permanent hole, so it won't close. Some Ninjas with the same model number apparently come with a three-pin design, and there are reusable K-cups that claim to be compatible with that. However I decided that this isn't important as the machine's native method of making a single cup from grounds is not really any harder to use and clean up after than a reusable K-cup. Features I haven't tried yet are brewing a carafe of coffee (I live alone so this will have to wait until I have daytime visitors) (although this was my motivation for looking at new machines), brewing iced-coffee, dispensing hot water, and the rich brew setting. The feature for making a latte I like much better than the Nespresso machine. It was suitable only for making very small espresso drinks, while the Ninja makes a latte similar in size to a coffee shop latte, and it tastes much richer. (Uses way more grounds for this pour than Nespresso does.) Very happy with this machine!

Me gustó bastante.

A solid and HOT cup of coffee
I wanted the convenience of a pod but the option for a full pot. After quite a bit of research and a few disappointing returns i settled on the Ninja Dualbrew CFP307. While features were important to me, one thing stood above all else, the ability to make good coffee. As many of you might know a huge component of good coffee is hot water. I am happy to report that the CFP307 gets nice and hot. I was getting 198 on "rich" setting measuring right where the water drips out of the machine. This means the water may be even hotter when hitting the grounds. The "classic" setting was around 194. However not all ninja dualbrews are created equally apparently. I didnt realize but amazon has multiple modes all grouped together. When selecting the buying options it sounds like your just selecting if you want the additional milk froather and permanent filter but they are intact diffrent models. The first one i got was the CFP401A. That model lacked the independent water feature and the water temperature was coming out at low 180s. The models look nearly identical so be careful. One thing I do want to mention is the 307 is an upgrade over the 407 in nearly every way except 2 things, pot size and pod function. The 407 is 72oz and the 307 is a max of 55oz. The pod function on the 407 has 3 water spouts that puncture the pod where the 307 only has 1. At first I was really bummed about this. However after doing some research i found that ninja sells the pod adapter apparatus with the 3 water spouts on their website and its compatible with the 307. I haven't ordered it yet and it might be a marketing gimmick. Keurig was the first one to come out with "multistream" technology and it makes sense logically to me. More spouts puncture the pod alowing for water to more evenly cover the grounds in a pod which in turn means better extraction which makes a better cup of coffee. This might not matter to some people but I wanted to mention it. Overall I am very happy with the 307 it makes a very nice cup of coffee, its feature rich and good build quality. The ability to dispense clean water for tea or other drinks without it tasting like old coffee water is great. I like that the water reservoir is movable from side to back and while the froather doesnt heat it works well and is very easy to clean. If your in the market for a "dual" brewing machine I highly recommend checking out the Ninja 307
