Easy to fit, fits very well

I bought this to replace the hose in my pull-out kitchen mixer spray tap, hoping to save money against the cost of buying a complete new tap when my old one developed a leak due to a failed internal plastic pipe inside the flexible hose. The hardest part of the replacement job was removing the old hose, as this had to be pulled up through the undersink fitting ring and was extremely tight. I managed with some difficulty to remove the old hose in situ, and was pleasantly surprised that the new one fitted through easier than the old one. That saved having to take the whole tap unit off, which was great news. One caveat, the cone shaped screw fitting which attaches to the spray head itself was different from the illustartion on the product listing - instead of having a sealing rubber ring, it was plain metal and also a little smaller than my old cone fitting - so I just kept the old one and threaded it on to the hose before I fitted the hose as described above. If you need to do this too, remember to get the pieces on in the right sequence or you will have to repeat the job. Then it was a simple matter of tightening the screw thread end of the hose on to the tap mixer outlet (under the sink) and the hose fitting was complete, also using a new rubber washer (supplied). I used a 13mm open jaw spanner to hold the hose fitting, and long handled pliers to hold the nut part coming from the tap unit. Overall a half hour job, most of which was fiddling around trying to get the old hose out. Overall I'm very happy with this product, and especially since it saved me lots of effort in not having to remove the old tap and possible expense in buying a new tap.

Arrived on time. All working OK. However, the tap nozzle end of the hose connector doesn't have as shown on the picture so the tap drops slightly and is loose i.e. there is no rubber ring to help keep the nozzle stable.

Really happy with this purchase I was unsure if I needed 15mm or 14mm I went for this as I had read negative reviews against the 15mm version as people had said that it would fit German taps, and this was replacing a Blanco Kitchen pull out hose, I am glad I did as this is an identical replacement very happy indeed.

It serves its purpose if you need a replacement quickly. The hose itself is of low quality and would think likely not to last that long. I needed a replacement ASAP and this was next day delivery. Found almost identical quality ones for a fraction of the price with longer delivery times. I fitted this when it arrived the next day but then bought a much higher quality one for a lot less. When the higher quality one arrived I swapped and will keep this one in my workshop as an emergency spare if I need one. I would assume that the majority of the purchase price is for the next day delivery.

I would avoid this product. Tried to use it to replace my kitchen sink hose, with very disappointing results. It did not seal properly at the outlet end, despite being the same thread, and as a result leaks excessively. Therefore it’s useless. In general it also feels very cheap. Didn’t think it would last a lifetime but I am shocked it was such poor quality.

Finger weg! Nach Verwendung dieses Schlauches schmeckte unser Wasser bitter, ekelhaft, ungenießbar. Und zwar immer der Teil, der über mehrere Stunden im Schlauch war (über Nacht). Wir mussten vor dem ersten Schluck immer erst etliche Liter durchlaufen lassen. Nachdem wir uns nicht vergiften wollten, aber auch nicht Trinkwasser in Massen zur Reinigung des Schlauches immer wieder vergeuden wollten, haben wir diesen Schlauch entsorgt. Keine Ahnung, was sich da gelöst hat, aber lebensmitteltauglich (trinkwassertauglich) war unserer sicher nicht. Nun haben wir einen aus dem Baumarkt und wir können wieder wohlschmeckendes Wasser verwenden.
