Doesnt calibrate properly
Was using this joystick for two months on fsx and xplane and i thought it was okay for the price, the only thing was the stick wouldnt calibrate properly and was always going slightly to the left, i switched to a £60 joystick and after that i could just tell how bad it actually was, avoid and just spend a little more on a better joystick

Excellent value joystick.
Very impressed by the build quality for the price. Although light, the wide base with three legs makes it very stable to use and the action of the joystick, rudder twist and throttle are very precise. It has worked fine with all my flight sims and games, only needing minor tweaking to assign the correct axis or button in some. It has vibration feedback (which can be switched off by a switch under the base) don't expect a full force-feedback joystick for this price. I especially like the position and action of the throttle control. The "hat" control also operates well. There are some points that stopped me giving it a full 5 stars. Firstly, it has an interface for assigning keyboard and mouse controls to the joystick; this is hidden away under "PC Game Controller" settings (see screenshot). This works differently to every other joystick I've ever used in that when you flip to using this mode (by setting it to be on by default or flip modes by pressing button 12 on the joystick) the joystick stops working as a normal joystick and only operates as a substitute for the keyboard and mouse (this can be very confusing since it can lead you to believe the joystick has stopped working, in fact I was on the verge of returning the joystick as faulty until I realised how it worked). Having grasped how this works it wouldn't be so bad, but you only seem to be able to assign a single keystroke to each button, so for more complicated games that use a combination of buttons (like CTRL or ALT) buttons you have to assign one button to each keystroke, you might as well use the keyboard! The lack of a "proper" set of instructions or drivers in the box was also frustrating; although finding the drivers on the Trust website was easy enough the only documentation on the website was crude in the extreme and does not detail the use of keyboard mapping interface at all. Lastly there was a lot of unnecessary plastic packing in the box just to keep the Joystick in place. It would be more eco friendly if this was replaced by cardboard.

Cheap, basic Joystick
Does what it says on the tin, a good cheap basic Joystick. Doesn’t like to stay calibrated though and often needs the deadzone adjusting to make it playable with more sensitive games. Overall pretty happy with it.

I predominately use this with Microsoft Flight Sim FSX. ...
Originally gave this a 4 start review, but the z axis (stick twist) broke after about eight months. A wire on the potentiometer fell off, I repaired this, then a different wire fell off. This happened several times before I had had enough and got a different joystick. The design of this stick is flawed.

Responsive and easy to handle
Responsive and easy to handle. My only gripe is that the three buttons on each side do not allow me to configure it easily for 4-way secondary control functions for fine-tuning manoeuvres. Four would have been better, and while this configuration allows left handers to use it as well, it means that the buttons on the right are hard to use. Lefties will find the same with the left hand button.
