I love this pen. It feels solid and substantial, yet it is easy to carry and a delight to write with. My wife takes it on her walks all the time, she feels safer and more confident when she has the bear with her!

My previous martial arts training is no longer useful to me as I am now 86 years old and need to use a wheelchair whenever I go outside of my home. So, I looked for some alternative means for self protection. Having completed my research, I now use 4 lines of self defense that I have found practical and have attained to with an adequate level of proficiency. The four weapons of my choice are (1) Pom Pepper spray; (2) a Cane Masters tactical walking cane; (3) a security alarm with a blinding strobe light and (4) the Atomic Bear Stealth Pro tactical pen. The primary weapon that I depend upon is my tactical walking cane - it is a game changer even in the weaker hands of a trained senior citizen in a wheelchair. However, one should not put all of one's eggs in one basket. It is always best to carry more than one means of self protection. The Atomic Bear Stealth Pen Pro combines a useful and practical writing pen with the best features of a dynamic weapon needed for self defense. It is easy to use and the serrated tip can do a lot of damage to ward off an attacker. A scrape across the forehead with this tip is extremely painful and will cause the blood to flow down into his eyes making it difficult for him to see. Even a senior citizen can effectively use this tool if ones knows the weak pressure points of pain such as the eyes, ears, throat and groin. Overall, I am well pleased with the Atomic Bear Stealth Pen Pro and consider it to be the best tactical pen on the market.

I loved this but kept it in my jeans pocket and lost it the same week I received it, when it fell out during a hike. Too expensive to risk losing again so I purchased a shorter one from another brand.

This pen is perfect in my opinion; it feels great in the hand, it’s lightweight, has a bolt action deployment of the ink cartridge, and can definitely cause some damage if used for self defense. I used the Atomic Bear Swat pen for years and it was nice but felt a little bulky and was cumbersome to use quickly for writing (especially one-handed when trying to pop off the cap) so when I found the Stealth Pen with bolt action I was very excited to try it out…and it did not disappoint one bit! The shape of the Stealth Pen is so nice and it contours really well to my hand, making it comfortable for writing. The polymer body feels premium and well designed, this also makes it less likely to be confiscated by TSA when going through security, especially compared to the Swat pen which looked more “tactical” with various ridges and full metal body construction. I carry this pen with me every single day and it’s nice to have it for both jotting down notes as well as in the event of an emergency or a self defense situation. The “DNA grabber” teeth on the business end of the pen would definitely do damage if needed although thankfully I’ve never needed to use it for self defense. An added bonus is the glass breaker end which is a nice thing to have, all you do is pop off the rubber cap and it’s ready for use. The bolt action of the ink cartridge deployment feels great and has an added “fidget factor” which is fun to play with, just be mindful that it does make noise so you might not want to be constantly sliding the bolt up and down around others who might be bothered by the sound. I like that the pen can accept the Fisher space ink refills and doesn’t require some proprietary cartridge. Overall, I think Atomic Bear absolutely nailed it with the design of the Stealth Pen. This pen is a joy to use, carries securely in my pocket, and is always ready to use the business end if needed. I carry this pen clipped inside my pocket every single day and recommend it to everyone looking for their new EDC pen!

Great tactical pen. The best I've found so far, but I'm only four pens into my search for the right one. I love everything about it except the tip and the clip. I have only had it a few days so the clip may very well break in quite nicely. Currently it's way too strong, but either time or a slight bend will fix that. The tip, however, will not get much more... hassle free (?). It's incredibly aggressive, which is exactly what you think you want for this kind of product. I'm using it all throughout the day and getting it back into my pocket requires more attention than I'd like. Perhaps I'll eventually be able to put it away without using two hands, but that day is far away from now. My search for the right one continues, but until I find something better, I'll be carrying this. It's super lightweight, yet solid as can be. The overall size is perfect. If I can't find anything better, I'll just file down the tip a little so it goes in my pocket easier, and I'm sure it will still be more than enough to "catch some DNA".

Good tactical pen. It comes with a Parker type cartridge that works fine, but I prefer the pressurized Fischer space pen cartridges so I changed it out to that cartridge. Feels good and writes well. Light weight to carry in front shirt pocket without it tugging at you pocket.

The pen was delivered in a timely manner. It meets all my expectations for an everyday carry item for protection and safety. This pen has a glass breaking function which is very important in an emergency. Highly recommend this item.

As "tactical pen" goes, this one is not so bad, however, I do not understand why the window breaker need to be in one end, considering the pen end has the triple spikes called "DNA catcher" That seems strong enough to break a window, doesn't it? Leaving room for something different in the back, such as a flashlight or laser pointer. The grip of the pen is uncomfortable. It is a little to wide for a comfortable writing. The mechanism for the pen is nice. the clip holder is strong, and it is very light weight and strong. The bad: The silicone cap is ok, but too easy to remove. So easy that my pen got brushed against something while in my pocket and I lost the cap. I also not crazy about back ink, which brings me to another frustration: The website says "blue-ink available", but no link for the sale. The "contact-us" page offers phone, chat, and email. Not a single one is available. I received automated messages saying they will be in touch with me soon, but that never happened (over 1 week ago). All and all, a good pen, but there is still a lot of room for improvement and it does not justify the expensive price tag.
