I tried it on some of my own money. Seems to be fine. I'm gonna pull out the pen when I get change at Walmart. Instead of them looking at the bills, I'm gonna look at the bills.

I sold a high dollar item for cash-only pick up. Decided to play it safe and check the bills one by one because I didnt want to even think about the possibly of getting paid with counterfeit money. The other day at Walmart a man at self check out asked me to pay for his stuff on my card and that he had cash for me (about 100 bucks). He asked me because he said he didn't realize the self check out was card only. The line was backed up and I couldn't say no. I felt great that I helped him and he gave me an additional 10 Dollars for my trouble, thanked me, and we parted ways. When I got to my car I had a bad feeling and for some reason the money felt "fake" to me (maybe because i very rarely carry cash). I was scared to use the cash in case it was fake and went to the store to get one of these pens but they were out so I ordered here on Amazon and just waited to test. All the cash he gave was legit and clearly I was just paranoid but none the less I have a peace of mind to check in the future again when needed.
