A waste of money
I'm really surprised at all the positive reviews of this product. I agree it attaches very easily to the phone, but the quality of the image is not good. The image does not fill the screen, it occupies a circle on my phone of 30mm diameter, with a fuzzy ring around that. The attached light is very bright but it cannot be regulated, and will burn out all colour of the object - it needs an iris to control the amount of light. The magnification on my phone varies from about 4x to about 13x, depending on how far away from the object I hold the phone. The quoted magnification refers to area, that is, a square with sides of 1mm will be enlarged to become a square with sides of about 8mm. (8mm x 8mm = 64mm squared.) The attached photograph shows that 5 divisions of a millimetre scale are enlarged to 20mm, giving a magnification of 4x. It is very difficult to hold the phone still enough to get a good photo, so it is of no use for wandering around the garden with; it might be good for looking at banknotes.

x60, works ok, difficult to focus
Three stars apparently means "it's ok", actually it's fine for this price, and I may not have given it a good chance yet. My immediate impression is that it's pretty cheaply made, but good enough. It isn't difficult to position on your phone camera, and produces a round image on the screen.Although, I have a Oneplus 3, and it's easy to to position, I have a central camera lens, so your mileage may vary. I can't think of any phones that couldn't use it.There is a nicely, shaped rubber type eyepiece, faced by a similar pad on either side of the spring grip. That grips it lightly to your phone. The problem, as always with microscopes, it's difficult to focus, The lower part as you look at the picture, contains a battery, and two lights (2 white LEDs, and a blue one. This whole piece rotates around the actual microscope part. (upper piece on the picture). I'm not really sure whether you focus by sliding it in and out, like a trombone, or rotating it.Either way, it's difficult, and jerks, and trembles, are amplified by the closeness, and depth of field. I've found the best way is to set focus, and then move the phone with both hands. If you do that this could suit you. I bought it for looking at the private parts of plants, which are only just too small to see, so x60 (which this provides) is fine. And it enables me to look at several flowers.I also have the Carson electronic microscope (from Amazon) That is a 5 star product. It works really well, it has a x60 to x120 range, a short adjustment lever, that affects your focal length, it also has a rotating focus wheel, in the body, and is generally better made, for only a fiver. However that is more of a stationary object viewer, than the phone accessory Neewer, you get what your looking at into the field of view, on a flat surface, that is lit by an LED. then you fine focus. As I say, I got this for looking at plant bits, and I haven't had the opportunity to use it for that yet. I anticipate it will be difficult, as both I, holding the phone, and the plant can move about, focusing is going to be difficult. I'm hoping it's going to be better than having to destroy the bud, by cutting it off to look at it under the Carson. I'll report back if it works out :-)

Educational and fun
Again another thing purchased to entertain and amaze my grandson. The magnifier is very good not really a microscope but it's a great little tool to show children what things really look like. It's been a great hit looking at everything from ants to pollen in flowers.its a well built bit of kit especially when you look at the cost . It comes with its own pouch which is handy, and a built in light making pictures really clear. If you have kids get one of these and let them loose in the garden with last years model I phone . They will spend hours examining everything . A great educational toy/aid? For adults and children alike.

Crisp clear micro-images, really close-up!
Wasn't expecting much from such a cheap device but it is amazing. Better results than more expensive branfs which I have compared on the same phone. Easier to attach and use as well. Worked on a couple of different Android phones. Very happy with this phone microscope.

So bad.....
Really Horrid.Going in secret Santa pool.Hope I get someone I don’t like.Honestly a trivial toy, not a serious piece of kit at all.

Great fun
This looked like fun so thought I'd risk buying one. Well presented and delivered promptly. Have tried it briefly but working in a jewellers i want to try it on some stones, it looks like it should work fine.

Just abit of fun and a bit of a novelty
I bought this as a bit of a novelty and it definitely works but the quality is a bit lacking as it's made of plastic I would have liked it more if it or at least the screw mount was made of metal but it does work for what it claims to do.
