I had mistakenly used a few mic cables instead of proper DMX—yes, there’s a difference—and it caused all sorts of signal issues. Swapping them out for these fixed everything. Solid build, reliable signal, and no more glitches. Easy 5 stars. If you're running lighting and want it done right, this is the cable to get.

Perfect for my needs. Used a lot for lighting for stage (portable) gobos and fixed lighting. Excellent if you are daisy chaining lights together for DMX hookups. Very good quality for the price.

I got these cables for my bar lights and they perform great as expected. They seem durable. I've been using them for a while now and have not had any issues. A good value for the money.

Good quality cable for a good price

I've been using these for about 3 weeks now on a pretty extensive mobile lighting truss. To date I've had no issues at all. They do what they're supposed to do. Fixtures are spaced close together on the truss, so 1m cables are a necessity to avoid too much unused slack having to be stored within the truss. I knocked off one star because the cable they use is rather on the lightweight side compared to my other DMX cables. Lightweight cable is more prone to failure after many uses. No, I have not experienced any failures yet. But doing so many one-nighters is hard on any cable, which is why I like to have plenty of spares. It's also easier on the cables if they aren't used every show, thus the benefit of having more than enough so they get rotated naturally. The XLR connectors themselves feel solid and sturdy and are made of metal. Please note that some reviewers imply that XLR is a mic cable. It is not. XLR refers to the CONNECTOR, not the cable, and the difference between DMX and mic cable is in the CABLE, not the connector they both share. My other issue with these was the manner of packaging. The cables were wound VERY tightly and pressed into a box just barely large enough to hold them all. Tight, sharp bends on cable is NOT good for them. Although they come with a tie-wrap, they should NOT be stored as shipped. One or two loose loops are sufficient, it should not be bent too sharply for maximum longevity.
