We absolutely loved putting it together. It is complex and needs some patience. But the instructions were very good and great guidance so it’s just about carefully reading it throguh. Fortunately they gave extra pieces for more delicate little bits so that was extremely useful

I personally love puzzles. I always have and I especially love music boxes. Putting them together seemed like a machine in heaven. Everything about this puzzle is beautiful. The design is elegant. The quality is excellent and it is well put together once everything is all altogether. Well, this would be a wonderful gift for any puzzle/music box lover. I’m also making it for my kid. Even painting it so that way it makes it a little bit more personal. All around it is a great gift whether it be for yourself, someone you know who loves to put things together, or even a gift for someone else like what I’m doing. Obviously, even though this is made of wood, you still should be careful and take different precautions when we’re moving pieces from the boards, but you do deal with small pieces which might be difficult for people with no steady hands overall I love the experience and their other products as I have built a few others with just as much enjoyment.

This was a fun project. The pieces are fragile but very workable. It has the most intricate parts of any I've worked and I've worked a good amount of these. You build your own tools to measure items in your build. Great detail. The reason I didn't give a 5 stars is because the directions are in Chinese. ALL of the directions are in Chinese. The pictures are very good and show each step well. I did miss where the dots and triangles should match up on the gears so mine doesn't work. I was too far along to go back when I realized it. I would recommend testing the gears from time to time. It is for the advanced builder. It's a beautiful piece.

This was an excellent gift for my wife's birthday. She did not break any pieces during build, and everything moves as it should when you wind up the music box. She finished it in a couple hours. Looks great sitting on our piano.

Instructions are just not clear. If this is your first time with wooden puzzles - find another brand. Design is nice.

Just completed this. It came out beautifully and worked. The top book in the back did split open and I did a repair with a toothpick and some glue. You can see the repair in my pictures. Just part of the process to figure out this stuff. Tips I would say is to read the instructions very carefully, and pay attention to the exclamation mark which are a warning about something such as making sure arrows line-up and things like that. Make sure you wax all the gear parts so it will run smoothly. I did this over a period of a few days and enjoyed the process very much.

Great fun to assemble the hundreds of pieces as per the detailed instructions. Output is very satisfying
