The magnet is strong and doesn't move when fixed to a good surface. The base also has a recess so it can be easily fixed to round surfaces. The actual DTI itself works well. There are three stylus attaching areas on the DTI, these are small dovetails. The fine adjustment mechanism for setting up the DTI on a job works well. After two weeks of use, I haven't found any problems.
