Keep expectations realistic and it’s a hit
This was purchased because the motorized cleaner attached to my in-ground pool’s intake hose did a poor job of covering more than 20% of the pool’s floor and it was taking a lot of my time to make the necessary adjustments each day to clean the pool floor—this included brushing all the dirt into the area the cleaner is happiest. This Wybot, on the other hand, is just ingenious: There are no motors on the wheels of the Wybot to move it about , which obviously reduces costs. Instead, the vacuum intake from the center bottom of the Wybot draws in the dirty water, and traps the dirt behind a screen. Then the cleaned water is forced out of one of two, gated portals (one center front, the other center back). That water being pushed out forces the robot to be propelled across the pool floor. It goes for 10-15 seconds, then the opposite side portal gets the outflow and the robot is pushed in the other direction. This will go on for 90 min to 2 hours, with the pathway completely random, but with the entire bottom of the pool cleaned in the time it takes to exhaust the battery.Just hoist out the vacuum by the handle floating on the pool surface, take the bottom off and rinse the (considerable) collected dirt from the tray, and connect the battery in the robot to power to recharge it.This feels like it would be great for an above ground pool since it doesn’t clean the rounded transitions between the pool floor and side walls. It is not sophisticated electronics, but it is surprisingly effective at a low cost. As long as you don’t expect Roomba-level logic in an underwater vacuum, you should be very happy with this.

Stops charging and horrible customer care dealing with warranty
Don’t buy! Terrible customer service when your product stops working under warranty! We purchased this items December 25, 2023. This is the second one we purchased in a 1.5 year span and all breaking for the same reason. Stops charging. Our product stopped working September 2025 and I contacted customer service in October to initiate the warranty process. It was a lot of back and forth asking me to do trouble shooting, understandable, and sending email requests of me. Response time was delayed and as the weeks went on into the holidays it became same more and more delayed. Finally not until January 20, 2025 I was offered a refurbished product. I responded asking of the integrity of the refurbished product and if it would be warranted and why not my product fixed or replaced with a new one. I got a rude and short reply that it’s not a lifetime warranty. On January 23, 2025 I responded saying ok what is the next step. With no response for some time. I sent another email February 6 and then again February 17th asking why there was no response on the next step. I got a response February 18th saying I was now out of my 1 year warranty and they would not help me and sorry for the delayed response as they have been busy with a high number of requests (probably because the products stop working). The customer care team didn’t even offer the replacement until January 20th. Delay tactics to honor the warranty by slow response to email seems used. I did respond stating I initiated the warranty well before the 1 year period and would like to speak to a manager. Considering the customer care so far I am guessing I am out a pool robot cleaner and a manager won’t honor it. Don’t buy from them, the product breaks and the customer care is even worse.

Junk!
Update: 9 January 2024. The company contacted me and refunded half of my cost. So that’s something. Took awhile but I was surprised when it happened. Changed my rating to a four solely because of this.Update: 29 Dec 2023. Received two emails from customer service. One was offering a full refund, the other offering a “replacement drive”. I accepted the full refund. Then I got a reply stating I couldn’t get a full refund because the “30-day refund period had passed.” Why send the email offering a full refund, months and months after I bought the thing, when they had no intention of giving one? I already bought a new vac and wasn’t interested in a replacement drive. I was interested in a robot vac that worked. Anyway, it just seems convenient and a bit “bait and switchy” to offer a “full refund” and then bail out on it. Further, I was contacted through Amazon (probably due to my review) but never heard a word from the repeated customer service emails I sent on the company website. But, customer service did contact me quite awhile after I left my initial review and I guess that’s something. Still, no problem solved for me and, bottom line, I spent a bunch of cash for something that became a paperweight in six months. You’ve been warned.Purchased this in April 2023 for $350. It didn’t last six months and quit working in October 2023. Purchased this specific robot after different one died. Part of the reason I purchased from this company was reviews that touted “excellent customer service”. Well, that must’ve changed. After a lengthy search to even find the company’s contact info, I tried to submit a warranty request (it’s supposed to have a one year warranty), and wouldn’t you know it, when I clicked the submit button the recaptcha technology kicked in to confirm “I’m not a robot”. But that just gave a spinning wheel and after seven (yes, seven) different attempts to get this to work, it never did. I see now the same robot is half the price and I’m sure will last about the same amount of time (6 months). Extremely displeased because this machine did what I needed it to do and made my life easier, although, it seems, more expensive, because now I have to find another one. I do not recommend this product or this seller. It should be noted that the last vac was from a different company with a “1 year warranty” that they didn’t honor because I “purchased through Amazon.” Seems all the pool vac companies are scammers.
