Another great refurb from TekRefurbs
This is the second refurbished PC I bought from TekRefurbs via Amazon. The first one I bought was five years ago and ran flawlessly until I simply decided to upgrade. If you know your way around a PC even a little, buying a refurb is a good way to save some money. This one was delivered on time and very securely packaged. I had everything up and running very quickly and it's been running smoothly for about a week now with no issues.I had one question and contacted TekRefurbs via their customer support and got my answer very quickly.Great machine, great price and great vendor!

Mostly as advertised
Upon checking everything on arrival, ALMOST everything was as advertised. Main issue was that it came with Windows 11, not Windows 10 as advertised. This was likely a screw up in processing the matching as the SSD had their Win11 imaged sticker on it. Whatever, not hard to fix just annoying. At the time of my purchase, the listing had contradicting statements in it, one place said "has wireless" another place says "no wireless". Again, whatever, 99%of these never shipped with that card installed, so I planned to install. Sloppy work on the listing at best.Otherwise the machine checks out as advertised and passes all tests. All the RAM was a matched set, all Samsung and matching p/n, that is an issue for those who don't know, you really don't want to mix and match RAM at all. That was nice to find as they have no obligation to do that on refurbs.

Looks almost new and works like new. Great value.
My refurbished Dell Optiplex 7090 arrived quickly and in perfect condition, protected very well in the box. A keyboard and mouse were included as well. Because these are refurbished and the original configurations of each PC from Dell may have varied, I'm not sure if all of these PCs have a DVD writer, but mine did. It also included a wireless USB adapter, because wireless isn't built in (Ethernet NIC only). Mine had no SD card reader. Except for a few small scuffs on the cabinet, it looks like new. The inside is perfectly clean as well. It's super quiet, considering that it has a 10th gen Intel CPU.I was a little nervous about buying a refurbished PC on Amazon, but I trust Amazon, and the 90 day return policy made me feel better about it. Before purchasing a refurbished PC, I recommend that you look at the seller. I bought mine from TekRefurbs. I reviewed the ratings for all of the sellers, and TekRefurbs had better ratings than the others, making my decision easy. And it was the right choice. I had a small issue with it, so I communicated with them through Amazon messages, and they responded quickly and made it right. Bob and Lindsey were the two people who helped me. Quick, friendly, and clearly written responses. I will definitely be buying PCs for myself and my family from Amazon and TekRefurbs in the future.

Mostly great deals until it not. Window crashed with update, trashed computer.
I bought a Dell 7090 64 gig 1 TB drive from amazon renewed store computer.I did not do the setup until 40 days later. the computer I received did not have the latest bios installed and after another month it windows installed 24H2. Without the bios update it failed to install and completely trashed the os. ( know issue with Dell computers and renew staff should have done this prior to selling these computers.) After many hours of trying to recover decided to do fresh install.I then discovered that it has asurion computer trace activated in bios. So it requires an account with the previous owners company to access the computer. now no access without an asurion account which I do not have.I have bought 6 of these dell referbs and one also failed without bios update and is trashed.Let’s see if tek refurbs will admit to the failure to setup the computers correctly with new bios update installed and asurion either disabled or removed from it.if not i would not buy and more dell refurbs, this is a Dell issue. I am not aware of the issue with other brands.if you have bought one of these do bios updates and go into bios and disable asurion.

Ram
Arrived with scratches on it and the specs said 64GB Ram but is only has 16GB Ram, and the bus only accepts 16GB each so no bigger Ram sticks can be used. Boots but keeps erroring out to Blue Screen of Death and rebooting at odd times. Its win10 which is fine, but will not be supported after the end of 2025/ otherwise it is ok, I can make it work.

Everything was as described and works perfectly.
PC is exactly as described. The SSD drive is an intel 500 GB (maybe used but good), memory was 2 ea 8GB SK Hynix (Korean) which I replaced with 2 x16GB. PC looks new, no scratches or dents. Booted up and started Windows initialization and worked. I chose windows 10 for now but will update to Win 11 when support runs out. Unit also had a HDMI option installed!!!. DVD installed. I added to 2 sata SSD (had to buy dual tray and cable separately) and another 2 TB NVMe M.2 drive. All initialized and work. This is a great deal. There is a SYS FAN connector which I am going to add a case fan. Everything is much better than I expected. So far so good.

Was dead out of the box... but...
The unit would not boot out of the box. I got the Dell logo, and that was all. I decided to play a bit... I was planning to install an M.2 drive anyways, so I did, and I disconnected the SSD drive that came with the unit. The unit then booted and installed Win 11 no problem at all. When I plugged the SSD back in, the unit would not boot. After some troubleshooting, it appears that the SATA cable to the SSD was bad. Additionally, the unit did come with a DVD drive installed, which did not have a SATA cable attached! Fortunately I had a good supply of SATA cables. All drives are connected now, and all is working well. All this is why I gave a 4 start rating instead of 5 star. Oh... I had to go to the Dell support site to get the latest BIOS for the machine as well. On the plus side... very fast machine! AND... according to the Dell website, the unit is still under a Premium support contract until Oct 2024!
