Does this come with mounting hardware to mount to steering column? A large hose clamp?

The body is attached to a mount with three holes so you can screw it into your dash or your A pillar using the provided hardware. You’re also gonna need to drill a hole for your four wires (positive, neutral, ground, input) which I found to be a bit short so either get some wires to give you more flexibility or place your gauge accordingly.

Will this work for a 5 cylinder engine?

Unfortunately no. Only for 4/6/8 cylinders

Is this tach water proof?

It’s not a sealed unit. I don’t believe it’s waterproof.

is the tach compatible with a 6A msd ignition box ?

Yes it is, but I would highly recommend upgrading to a sportsman series at least if you can afford to do so. These tachs have been problematic for me in the past
