excellent memory cards for camera

They work just fine as a well-put-together, pricey, low-capacity, SDHC. If that's what you need them for. But nobody really does... I was in a pinch, paid too much for these to be used only once to restore backup files in a legacy industrial system which can NOT recognize SDHC OR SDXC. SD version 1 only. These are SDHC... SD Version 2 or greater. They are advertised as just "SD". But to be fair, class 4 is not a v1 rating so it's hidden in the fine print... Anyway, not recognized by the old Siemens. Format and allocation are irrelevant here it's the physical architecture that matters. Adafruit sells the right old cards. The other people who say this card works for their old stuff are surely having success because of filesystem size or format in which case any card, cheaper bulk packs of larger sizes, could be used if manually formatted. I can't think of a good reason to pay extra for a smaller card that's only benefit is Windows would default to formatting it in a way Legacy systems would recognize the filesystem (if they have the hardware to read an SDHC).

As an avid recycler and don't fix what isn't broke, I have hung unto an older Kodak camera that unfortunately is not compatible with what is now sold in stores for memory cards. I was pleased to find these and we are back to snapping photos again. Work great! Pictures great , easily downloads. Came quick.
