Kills Carpenter Ants - Household, PA
This treatment actually worked. Once I was able to find how the ants were entering my house (see picture), I place the bait/killer next to it. The ants were all over it! Over several days, they actually took the small piles away and I added more each night. After about 3-4 days, I noticed that the activity decreased. Today, I am finding dead ants in some rooms. Not many of them, but I am thinking that it's from the bait/killer. The instructions say that it takes about 24 hours before it starts to work. Maybe it did, but it took a few days for me to see the actual results as it went through their hive (I hope).I will continue to place the bait/killer until the piles go untouched and no ants are detected. I am impressed with the results. I've been fighting these guys for a few years and even tried outdoor treatments. The key was finding their entry. If you find it, try this bait/killer.Good luck!

Day 1
The media could not be loaded. I have high hopes for this product. Nothing has been staving off these carpenter ants. Some have been coming into my home and i just can not have that. Today is day one. They are carrying it off but to where? I don't have any Idea.. once they pick up the granual, it's like they become stupid and forget which way home is. Fingers crossed this works. This stuff is un-fricken' believeable!
The media could not be loaded. I get tiny ants in my kitchen and bathroom every spring. This year, I put down 3 (yes, three) separate types of ant traps purchased at Home Depot and my local grocery store. I put them everywhere in my kitchen (on the backsplash, against the wall, on my counters). It looked ridiculous. For several days, we watched as tiny ants completely ignored all of them. I know you're not supposed to kill the ants you see; rather, you're supposed to let them take the poison, so they can bring it back to the colony and kill the other ants. However, that's tough to do when you have gross ants crawling on your kitchen counter every day! I had this stuff on hand from a few years ago, when I had a carpenter ant problem, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I sprinkled a few crystals down on a piece of aluminum foil, and within SECONDS, the tiny ants started grabbing it and carrying it off to who knows where. Within a few hours, the ants were GONE, and haven't come back! There weren't even dead bodies laying around. Since then, I've used it in my garage, my bathrooms, and my home office. Every single time the ants disappear within a day, never to return. Today, I dumped some on my porch. Here's a video of the ants taking the bait and literally running off with it. Important: Be careful to keep this stuff away from pets, because whatever is in it certainly attracts the critters, and might be desirable for a pet.

The ants aren't interested.
Our carpenter ants are entirely uninterested in this "bait". Advion gel, however, they cannot get enough of that stuff. Year after year it is effective...until the next Spring. I am concerned the colonies may evolve a tolerance for the Advion, which is why I purchased this product, to alternate which poison we use each year. But if the ants don't see it as food, it won't work.

It works!
After battling carpenter ants unsuccessfully, I put down these granules around the house and in key locations inside the house (in an area inaccessible to pets). It worked! No more ants.Five stars, would buy again.
