Trader Joe's Roasted & Salted Sunflower Seeds 16Oz

i love trader joes sunflower seeds, so, as a treat, i bought 4 bags at three times their price in the store. i'm not complaining about the price--that's my choice. but i didn't count on them being stale and so close to their outdate. when you buy them in the store, they are vacuum packed until you open them. half the bags were not, as if they had either been opened or there was a hole in the bag or the bags had been handled roughly so often that the seal just gave way. either way--a stale, quality experience. sigh. i won't buy again.

I regularly reorder this product because I love it so much. However, this particular bag is stale and tastes rancid. Too bad it doesn’t qualify for a return. I’m going to empty the entire bag into a colander, wash the salt off, and put the seeds out for the birds.

Trader Joes have the best seeds I have found anywhere. Always flavorful, fresh and good sized. Was hesitant to buy them from Amazon after reading some of the neg reviews but I am very pleased with my purchase. The main package was double wrapped and sealed with taped plastic wrap, and sent in a padded envelope. These are not crushed and are as fresh as if I had gotten them from the store. Highly recommend. I might add that this order was fulfilled by Trader Joe's. I do not have experience with other third-party sellers, which may be where the quality is compromised as other reviewers have noted.

Way too salty and greasy for my taste; they remind me of canned Planters peanuts from the old days. Bought this in May, and the sell by date was August, makes me think this sat in a warehouse for several years. The 'resealable bag' design is ridiculous. And it is way overpriced compared to the store: $2 without 'free shipping', $9 with 'free shipping.' There seems to be a scam industry that buys things at retail and sells them on with a high markup - and I fell for it this time. Ah, well, education isn't free...

LOVE Trader Joe's for anything really. My brother in law is a manager at Trader Joe's and we always enjoy all of their products. I decided to order these online for the convenience and they don't disappoint. Sunflower seeds are so yummy and healthy. I great alternative to anything unhealthy. We love to eat them on their own or sprinkled on a salad. I've tried several brands and wouldn't have thought there would be much difference, but there sure is! These ones are the best of all I've tried. Fresh roasted taste and yes, they're a bit salty, but I like them that way.

These have been consistently my favorite source of roasted, salted sunflower kernels. They are free of broken pieces, for the most part, clean - no debris or hulls, lightly salted, and the best part, crunchy and flavorful.

Excellent great tasting product that is supposed to be very good for your health. The seeds are soft and easy to sprinkle on just about anything, especially salads. Highly recommended!
