## Description

Reloop’s RP-7000 MK2 turntable caters to the high demands of professional DJs and modern nightclubs. With its powerful direct drive motor and rugged construction, RP-7000 MK2 is a sturdy and indestructible turntable that can take on harsh everyday life with ease. By using a combination of metal, rubber and synthetic materials, the RP-7000 MK2's housing is more reinforced and heavy than ever before. This results in a turntable that is extremely resistant to vibrations that can be caused by heavy bass sounds in DJ booths. The surface is coated with a scratch-resistant high-quality deep black finish. The RP-7000 MK2 features a statically balanced S-shaped tone arm with hydraulic lift and anti-skating mechanism. The newly developed tone arm base provides improved stability and adjustable height/vertical tracking angle (VTA). The low-resonance tone arm comes with a universal connection for pick-up cartridge systems (SME). The newly developed aluminum LED target light is freely moveable to help you find the stylus position in dark surroundings. An additional start/stop button has also been integrated to facilitate a vertical setup, and by using the buttons on the RP-7000 MK2's top panel, you can switch between the three motor speeds. Dedicated buttons for forward and reverse mode allow for further creativity in your mix. Thanks to the recessed rear connection panel, the RP-7000 MK2 can easily be mounted in a flight case and seamlessly positioned next to other DJ gear. The fine-tuned, quartz-driven motor with digital pitch correction operates at a starting torque of 2. 8kg/cm, which can be adjusted up to a maximum of 4. 5kg/cm. This makes it an extremely smooth running turntable. The turntable break speed can be adjusted from 0. 2 – 6 seconds and the precision-machined, heavy die-cast aluminum platter is lined with vibration reducing rubber to eliminate unwanted vibrations and resonance.

Review: DJ deck looks with real audiophile sound quality. - My much loved modified Project RPM 5.1 belt drive turntable developed a motor fault which at the time seemed uneconomical to repair. I already have an Audio Technica AT-LP5, a direct drive turntable which I like a lot but felt the Project was better for serious music listening. Therefore, I began a research for a replacement belt drive turntable, similar in performance to it, but I was persuaded not to be close minded about listening to other direct drive turntables. To cut this saga short, I stumbled upon the Reloop RP-7000Mk2 and Pioneer PLX1000 DJ type direct drive turntables playing in a domestic situation sounding like high grade audiophile decks playing a wide range of musical styles from classical to reggae. My prejudices against such turntables quickly evaporated as it became clear that with the right cartridge, on a revealing audio system ( particularly using a high quality phono stage such as the excellent Rega Fono Mk3 ), these record decks were every bit as good if not better than my Project. So I decided to buy the Reloop over the Pioneer simply because the Reloop was less expensive yet sounded just as capable as the Pioneer and it is just as well constructed. It is supplied without a headshell which meant using ones by Audio Technica and Ortofon and I continued to use my Audio Technica AT 440MLB, a recently purchased Audio Technica VM95SH and a Nagaoka MP110 cartridge which I mostly use on the LP5 plus I have added a Funk firm Achromat platter mat sl1200 version and Premium Quality disc stabilizer which have proved to be pretty effective in improving the sound quality even further. The 7000Mk2 allows all these cartridges to demonstrate great detail retrieval, wide ranging dynamics, wonderful rhythmic timing and tremendous bass power and articulation. I have since repaired the Project but have not missed using it and is now my spare deck. Considering the Reloop is primarily designed to be used in dance clubs, it is one hell of an audiophile sounding turntable that would not be expected by its DJ deck looks. It makes me wonder whether the huge amount of money that can be spent on some highly regarded belt drive turntables is worth it, when a truly audiophile sounding DJ deck direct drive turntable can be bought for relatively low cost. Highly recommended, forget your pre-judgements of DJ decks.
Review: Reloop 7000 mk2 - If you're after a turntable then I certainly recommend this ... Screams quality, really solid and weighted. Fantastic direct drive motor with reverse function as well as pitch control... yes it's meant to be a DJ turntable but I'm using on it's own with a old kenwood amp and the sound is amazing.... the only down side is you need to buy a needle and dust cover lid but I can't recommend this highly enough 5 stars from me.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this deck have a pre amp in it?**
A: It also has a pre-amp built in so you don't need a phono-stage. Although I would advise using a high-quality external phono pre-amp for a better sound.

**Q: does it come with stylist?**
A: No it doesn't come with a cartridge/stylus nor a headshell. I recommend purchasing a very good cartridge, such as a Nagaoka mp110, or even better cartridge, an Audio Technica VM95SH cartridge to use in an Ortofon Sh-4 Silver Aluminum Cartridge Headshell. Also to maximise the RP7000Mk2 potential think about upgrading its platter mat to a Funk Firm Achromat 5 millimetre plus add a Nobosound disk stabilizer, you'll have an extremely capable record deck with these additions.

**Q: Can you hook up a sony strdh190 stereo receiver and wharfedale 220s to this deck for home listening?**
A: The rear of the turntable has a small switch. This will allow you to connect to the receiver using either its phono input, if present, or you can switch to line out meaning you plug it into a spare pair of connections (tape, cd, aux) on the receiver.

**Q: Is this turntable supplied with a cartridge?**
A: No it doesn't nor with a headshell. Consider buying a Nagaoka MP110 as a minimum starter cartridge to use in a Ortofon Sh-4 Silver Aluminum Cartridge Headshell which should produce excellent sound quality.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Get Loose
*by R***Y on 4 October 2019*

This is a super sturdy record player. I bought it to replace a SL1210 which wasn't working so well anymore and frankly I think it is a superior player. It holds the pitch beautifully and the reverse play and +/-16 function gives you much more flexibility to get loose. Highly recommended.
