The cooling gel effect is lost a bit through the pillow covers. But still does the job well. It does have a bit of a "smell" to it, but unless I stick my nose into it I don't really notice it.

I purchased the same product 6 months ago and it is really good. I ordered the product again a week ago, but it is very bad and not as thick and durable as the previous product. I did not notice this until I tried the two products. Otherwise, I would have returned it to the supplier.

I had neck problems and sleep issues before I got this pillow (note: I also upgraded my mattress at the time), after months of use...this thing...is...awesome! There is one issue however, so please read on! Overview: Yes it DID have a little bit of a smell when I got it. BUT I washed it with a damp cloth and some warm water after I got it, then let it air out. The smell didn't truly go away until AFTER the FIRST WEEK, i just washed my sheets with extra fabric softener and soap that week and it covered it up nicely. The Pros: Comfort and Support: The pillow offers excellent support, your head sinks in about half way before the support kicks in. It's a great soft-medium hardness, it supports the neck very well from all sleeping positions. The "Cold Side" feature: Ok, full disclosure here, I thought this was a gimmick at first....I stand corrected. This is (in my opinion) the single best feature a pillow could have! And it works, of you have the pillow resting with the gel side down for a while, when you flip it over it is indeed cold...the cold does dissipate after a time but I find that I often fall asleep well before that time. It's refreshing and like I said, the best feature on this pillow. In addition, it adds a little more springy-ness and support to that side. The Cons: The smell... When I first opened the pillow I was so happy with the comfort, but very disappointed in the smell, I almost returned it. But I followed the preparation instructions and also checked out other reviews, I'm glad I gave this product a chance! I'm rewarded every night with some of the best sleep I've gotten in years! The Virdict: For the price point, this thing is a no brainer. The build, stitching and materials used seem to be premium and then of top quality. The comfort and features are as advertised and simply freaking amazing, if you like a soft to medium pillow for support and you like the idea of a cold sleeping surface that isn't a cold tile or porcelain bowl (jks) this thing is for you! Hope this helps someone else who was uncertain like me. P.S. Also, of you're trying to decide whether or not you should buy just one to try or a set of two, GET TWO! Throw caution to the wind my friend, they are worth every penny!

I work night shifts and from past couple of months had trouble sleeping at night. I figured it was my pillow which was too soft for me. Every morning i woke up, I had a bad headache and my wife complained that I snore a bit more. Few weeks ago, I found that one of my friend uses memory foam pillow which is really 'comfy'. Last week when I could not sleep at night and that affected my job the next day, I decided to give a new pillow a try. Hence i brought this product and ever since I have slept like a baby. I am sleeping 8 hours a day without a single discomfort and the snoring is gone too. The pillow stinks a little, but it is fading away already. It is little harder but everytime I put my heads on it, I only want to sleep and nothing else. The build quality is great and it comes with the soft cover which I became very fond of. I think it is a perfect pillow for me. Even at first my wife was skeptic about it but she now accepts that $60 that i spent on this product is well spent.

I’m very pleased with my purchase. It’s been a week since I got the pillow so I had an opportunuty to test it and make up my opinion. It is really very comfortable, I love the memory foam filling which provides great neck support. The size is also perfect, not too big and not small. Probably the best pillow I’ve had in years. I’ve been through a lot of pillows. Down, buckwheat husk, and other memory foam pillows, even the well-known Tempur-Pedic pillows. This pillow is somewhat firm, but soft enough that my head sinks in half-way. It’s very comfortable and relaxing, especially when I’m half-awake and turn on to my side. I’m initially a back sleeper, then switch to my side during the night. This pillow is wonderful for both back and side sleepers. I own two kinds of Tempur-Pedic pillows. One is too high and firm and gives me a sore neck. The other is contoured and very good, but after lying on it for awhile, you sink way down almost flat. The Save and Soft pillow provides enough give, yet still supports your neck well. It’s one of my favourite purchases from Amazon. Well worth it. And the price is great. Highly recommended. Be careful when you take the pillow out of the case. The opening is rather small compared to the pillow itself, so the case can tear or the zipper can break like some reviewers say. Squish the pillow hard to take it out. Overall, a wonderful pillow. The only issue I have is that on one of the pillows I bought, there’s a few bare spots where the foam either tore off or they’re a manufacturing defects. See photo.
