Ford (Shadow Ops Team Book 2)

I am enjoying this new series from Makenna Jameison. She weaves great tales filled with excellent characters, lots of intrigue and suspense, a good bit of action, lots of drama, a few surprises, twists and turns and of course plenty of spicy sizzle. Ford Anderson has had his eye on the receptionist at Shadow Ops for some time. She's a sweet single mother who completely unaware of the full scope of Shadow Ops operations. As such, Ford is not the man for Clara Anderson. He's too jaded and battle hardened. But, when she is targeted because of her Shadow Ops employment, Ford becomes her bodyguard and protector. It's no hardship having Ford around although it's a little embarrassing having him see her meager living circumstances. He fits in well with her and her daughter. It's a happy arrangement albeit a temporary one. It's nice to pretend even if just for a little while. However, if Ford has his way it will become permanent once those after Clara are taken down.

Great story, great characters, and great action. I think this one was better than the first one and I can't wait to read the next one.

I have read many books by Makenna Jameison. This series is a bit of a spin-off from another. (I believe Jett is a big brother to a character from another SEALS.series.) This was a good story. I liked Ford and Clara as a couple. It was also good to get closure on part of the story line from Jett's book.

I have really enjoyed this series! Cannot wait til the next one comes out. Great writer and great series! Jameson is a must read for me!

Ford, book two, in Makenna Jameison’s Shadow Ops Team series, is a short, sweet story about Clara, her daughter Eloise, and Ford. He and Clara both work for Shadow Security, a company that fulfills contracts for the US government. She is a receptionist kept in the dark about what the organization actually does. He, of course, is an operative. In this tale, sick, evil people seek revenge on Shadow’s business after they take down part of a sex trafficking ring. Clara is quickly brought up to date with first-hand information about her job when she is targeted, and five-year-old Eloise is kidnapped. As with all Jameison books, readers enjoy the characters, story, and writing. This author is a dependable storyteller giving just the right amount of tension, doubt, and happiness to satisfy book lovers. Her tales are always good, and readers can never go wrong investing in one. It would have been better if it had been a little longer, but if people need a quick entertaining narrative, then this is the one for them.

Another great read by Makenna. Gruff, intense, protective Ford watches, wishes for a chance with single Mom Clara. The storyline was pretty intense once they realized who the enemy is that's targeted Clara & Shadow Security. Could definitely feel Clara's emotions as she discovers more & more truths about her employer's business. Seeing Ford & Clara find their way to each other was very satisfying. I, too, received an ARC copy & read it in one day ~ I was hooked!!

The second read in this series has Ford and Clara finally making a move with each other. Clara is the receptionist at Shadow Ops and has no idea the secret missions the men do, she only knows about their bodyguard side of the business. When her car has issues and she is stranded on the side of the road, Ford is the one who finds her and realizes her car issues was no accident. From that moment on, he vows to protect her and her daughter….but how will she react when finds out all the secrets he is hiding.A good read with some suspense, surprises, a bit of steam and great characters.*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*

Loved this book so much. Ford and Clara both thought a relationship with them was off the cards until danger brought them and Clara's beautiful daughter together as family. Also good to catch up with Jett and Anna from the previous book. Thoroughly recommend.

If you like protector books, then you will enjoy this one. It's a really good story with plenty of action. This is my kind of book ,give it a read really good
