Magnesium oxide and carbonate are known for their laxative effects. I wouldn't buy it

My fiancé was training for his first full marathon and was dehydrated and not retaining water. He started to take these and it make a huge difference. He said the flavour was better than he thought it would be too. Will be purchasing them again

I've been enjoying these effervescent tablets at night, mostly because of the sleep and stress reduction benefits that magnesium brings. The packaging is professional and informative, but the tablets themselves are in a handy, plastic tube. Each tablet is about the size of a loonie, but thicker. They do dissolve pretty fast and taste amazing (orange flavor). While they don't contain sugar, they do use sorbitol as a sweetener, which is pretty well tolerated as a sugar substitute. Unlike other effervescent tablets I use, this one leaves more residue in the cup, but it does dissolve cleanly and you don't taste it in your mouth. Overall, as a zinc and magnesium supplement, which does support mood and muscle health, I do enjoy this product. At around $0.65 per tablet, it is expensive as a supplement, but the fact that it's a refreshing drink does make up for some of that.

The effervescent format of magnesium has a bit of a calming effect. Magnesium increases GABA activity in your brain which is good for anxiety. I love taking this before bed. Really delicious if you mix it with pineapple bubbly :p
