Works better than the original Allen + Roth remote
Update 6/2024: About a month later, still working great. Enough better than the original (when original one was new) I wish I'd bought it years ago. Original review: This was a straight replacement of my original remote. The old Allen + Roth remote used a rather weird 12 volt battery that is mildly hard to find. It also tended to use that 12V battery up fairly quickly. I think it drained it even when not in use. It also seem to be very picky about where it was located near the fan, the new one works from across the room with no problems. It was pretty easy to get this new one to work. All I had to do was move the internal dip switches to the same pattern as the old remote. As soon as I did that it did the lights, fan speed, etc. I may eventually try to use a rechargeable 9 volt for the new remote. It matters how fast it uses up the 9 volt battery. Bottom line: I think that I'm going to be happy with this new remote, if nothing else not having to get the weird tiny 12 volt battery every time I need to replace it will be easier. 9 volt = I have a bunch around

Glad someone's out there, still making universal fan remotes!
We recently bought our home which came with an elegant ceiling fan. Only, it didn't have a chain switch ( a clue that is remote controlled) and no product insignia to be found. The only way to identify the fan was to remove the light housing and look for the receiver in the wiring hub. I researched the receiver model: UC706REV and learned we had a Hamilton Beach fan, SAN JUAN edition. I then used that information to start researching compatible remotes and found this one which works like a charm. The only drawback (which really isn't much of one) is the 'up/down' buttons do not dim or brighten - they only turn the light on or off. LO/MED/HI functions work and that's what matters most to us. Overall, the Egoifee Ceiling Fan Remote is a great product. It's priced right and shipped within 2 days. It should also work with other Hamilton Beach models especially if you don't have a remote and don't know the model. If you find yourself in a similar situation, just get this remote. Enjoy!

Hey, the fan works...
I was given a Hampton Bay fan and needed a remote to operate it - this does work all functions. It turns up-lights and Down-lights on and off and runs the fan. It seems that the speed control function is a little off, though.... 'High' and 'medium' are swapped. Not a big deal... Hey, I have a good air mover in the garage for less than $20!
