ZSHINE Motorized Blackout Skylight Cellular Shades (93021H Coffee)

I was not sure about this but since I received it and assembled it I am happy so far with it. Communication with the seller was good as was Packaging and shipping time. Make sure you measure in 3 spots each way. Assembly was straight forward, lay it flat and assemble the 4 rails and drive 4 screws. From there, test the device. After that simply hold it where you want it (2 person job), mark it and drill the holes, insert the Molly's, replace the shade and 4 more screws and its installed. I got the all white and it looks good and nice gloss white material finish (looks like aluminum) . A little caulking to do, but it blocks most light and reduces solar heat drastically in my bathroom. See my short video. The remote looks good and works good, I wish I could reverse the button order due to the way I installed the blind, not a big deal breaker. Only thing left to do is hook it up to my Alexa.

You need to be a little handy and feel comfortable building it, because it comes in pieces and the instructions are not ikea-level. Still the result is really good and months in the system is working great. Powered by solar power, blocks the light, and feels like a fancy hotel with automated shades. The fit was also spot on.

Cannot program to open and close I have paid a technician to Come and try to get it working No luck It cost me 125. Dollars for service call I’m. Very disappointed with Amzon doing business With this company I want a credit for this I will gladly send it Back Ty. Fred. Faello

The shade itself is really nice. It’s well made, works really well, and provides full blackout. But the customer service is what really made me want to leave this review. I initially ran into a problem because of how my roofer installed it when putting in the skylight so the shade was crooked and wouldn’t close all the way. By the time we needed to troubleshoot it, everything was already sealed in, so removing the skylight would have meant breaking that seal. There are also beams in the way that make access really difficult. Basically, I had to work on it up on a ladder without being able to easily take things apart. The guy helping me stayed in touch over WhatsApp for a couple of days and got on two video calls with me, spending probably an hour and a half total walking me through the troubleshooting. He was super patient, worked through the complications with me, and we ended up fixing it together. That’s honestly above-and-beyond customer service, especially for an issue caused by the installation. I really appreciate how much time he put into helping me get everything working rather than leaving me to figure it out myself. Now that it’s sorted, the shade works great and I’m really happy with it. Really nice product, backed by people who actually show up and help when you need them. Highly recommend.

This blinds are great. They are custom made and work flawlessly; they fit perfectly. No complaints. Does the job of blocking all light. The remote makes it great. Easy to install as along as you follow the directions. I installed it in my skylight.

I have a large, custom sized skylight window in my office. I needed blinds that would fit the window, block out the light and was easy to control because it would be difficult to reach. I purchase blinds from zShine. They were very thorough and professional a) on ensuring that I have the right measurements, they sent a separate email very quickly after the order to confirm my size request on purchase, b) I received the blinds within a week of ordering, c) It took about 90 mins to install (remember it was big and required two people but its more than doable) and lastly d) its genuinely really nice (see photo). The overall quality is good, the blind material is good, and it just works (no hassle). I would buy again if I needed custom blinds, its worth the money knowing it will be up there for years.

Update: Customer service eventually got back to me the next day on whatsapp. They provided me with a solution that helps fix the problem. I am happy I can finally fix and install the blinds. Just be prepared that you may not get the right instruction with your product and even if you do, it may not be very helpful, if you have a problem, you will need to reach out to find solutions, self service is not going to workout. To install it, I had to manually force drill holes thru the metal as no L bracket was provided and instruction shows for holes that does not exist. The mounting bracket for solar also is non existent so I had to just buy tape to tape it against the wall. The 4 sides don't fit together well so I bought Gorilla thick clear tape to keep it in place. Honestly, for what I paid ($400+), it is not worth the trouble I went through to get it to work. It does work nicely now that it is finally installed. Original Post: I bought the blinds and got it customized to 42inch x44 inch with rechargeable solar panel. Putting it together This part was difficult as there are no direction at all on how to put it together, you need to go on the website to find videos to watch on how to put it together. Even then, I still had trouble as the direction says to drill it into the L bracket, but they did not include the L bracket and the frame itself did not have the holes thru the metal that you can drill through either. Direction manuals + Missing items They only give you direction on how to install the solar panel and how to use the remote. The direction they gave me for the remote was the wrong direction for the wrong remote. The direction online for putting it together also was wrong, it says to use this L bracket which they did not include, it says to use this thing to mount the solar panel, which it also did not include. When I reached out to me, they just said I don't need it but I do!!! Function The blinds quickly stopped working. It will only close for about 5 inches and stops. Tried everything but nothing will make it close more than 5 inches for a 40+ inch window. The reset for the remote also does not work like direction says. This is the most expensive piece of junk I thought last year. Customer Service Very not helpful. It says it has 24hrs chat service, this is not true. You can message them 24hrs, but they will not get back to you. all 24hrs. I told them I am missing pieces and they told me I don't need the pieces.... like what? Yes I do need it! I cannot install it without it!

The shade arrived quickly. Does not come assembled. Installation went as well as could be expected. The shade operated 12 times then stopped. I checked what I could after calling the warranty department. No use .Removed the shade took vidios as requested, and sent the video pictures to the warranty dept in China. I have not heard from them again. This and after care was real bad. I've got $ 500.00 out of pocket and it still doesn't work. This has been going on since September 2022.
