Hand Therapy Bars.. get productive exercise for hands at home
The media could not be loaded. This item isn’t going to be needed or will appeal to everyone. But at my age, over sixty, I’ve begun experiencing episodes of inflammation, last year with trigger finger and wrist tendonitis. When I was attending physical therapy appointments for the trigger finger, I observed the therapists instructing other patients on use of this bar. Watching it, I was wondering if I could buy one for my home use. I was pleased when I stumbled across this bar and was able to buy these for myself. The package includes two bars. The blue one is a lighter strength, the gray bar is a stronger, stiffer bar. The instructions state to begin with the blue, then transition to the gray one after experience and getting acclimated to it. While there are instructions included in the package, I’m depending more on instructions I heard from the therapists last year when they were working with other patients, and on YouTube videos I have watched. I especially like using it at night when my husband is watching his golf, soccer, and hockey. I prefer to multi-task when watching TV, I’m not good with sitting idly and simply watching TV. With these bars, I’m able to exercise my hands and wrists while enjoying the sporting events, too.I’ve read other reviews for these that stated that there is very little difference in the strength of the bars. I find they are different, but neither is considered to be a strengthening workout for a bodybuilder. For someone who needs therapy for inflammation, multiple repetitions with a lighter weight are better than fewer repetitions with a stronger bar. For those bodybuilders out there, I’m sure there are other devices that will help with muscle development. But this works for those of us dealing with wrist and finger issues. Five Stars!!I hope you found this review to be helpful. Thanks for reading!!

Good quality but a bit soft
These are great quality and have no smell or residue like many plastic products. I did find that the resistance is too low for me, but what there is, is effective and helps to release some of the pain and stiffness in my hands and arms. My wife uses these like a roller to massage my shoulders and neck. Definitely helps to loosen up the muscles after a long day sitting in front of the the computer. This is a good product and would be even better if it was offered with a 3rd level bar.

Perfect resistance bars for physical therapy stretches
I was diagnosed with tennis elbow and given a handful of stretches to do to alleviate the pain. Some stretches worked better than others to relieve the pain but the addition of these resistant bars has been life changing. The instructions they come with are pretty basic but you can do a quick search for stretches to get the right form down for whichever stretches/injury you're dealing with. Doing a few sets of stretches with these bars alleviates the pain much faster than the table leans and other stretches that just use body weight to target the trouble areas. They come with two levels of resistance so you can continue to strength the tendons once you've gotten past the flare ups. These bars are sturdy in hand so I truly expect them to last through countless exercises and I'm grateful to have them with my equipment.

I love simple equipment that makes a difference
I've never seen anything like this, but decided to try it because of the tendon issues I've been having. I just received this and tried it one time. I already know it's going to help. I have pain on the inside of my elbow around the joint and a couple of twists with the blue bar hit the spot perfectly. I'll have to work up to the grey bar, but I will say if you are doing it right, the blue will do the job. I will point out my purpose is to deal with tendon pain, not building muscle. On the negative, the instructions aren't that good. Best to go to YouTube or the company's website. I'll still give this product five stars, but will update this review later if anything changes.

Well made but very little difference between the light and the medium resistance
I have a bad tendonitis condition in both elbows and I have been doing physical therapy weekly. My physical therapist told me to use these regularly to strengthen my forearms. These bars were very good quality and had no odors or greasy residue. They were also molded very well and the grooves were clean. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that they state on the product page that one is 5lbs light tension and the other (grey) is 15 lbs medium tension but honestly, I couldn't tell much difference between the two. The difference is so slight that when doing my exercises, I switched back and forth between them and saw no noticeable difference.
