Shatter Me 3-Book Set 1: Shatter Me/Unravel Me/Ignite Me
T**Z
Are you Team Warner or Team Adam?
I bought this because 3 books for the price of 1 ... YES! and I was already done with book one at the time from listening on Spotify. I truely believe that each books deserves it's own review, so I appologize now, for this long review as I put one for each. Before I start the each book review, I can say I highly recommend this addictive series. If you plan to start you really should grab all the novellas as well that go between each book. They are written I character's POV, and the over lap some of the end of the book it follows.. Making like a bridge from 1 book to the next.AUDIO VERIONS: So I do flip back and forth with this series of reading it and using audio. I can say I do like the narrators that were used for this book series. There is a female and male narrator for when the POV changes. You don't really see that changing of POV's at first till you hit a novella, and it happens more as the series progresses.Shatter Me: less than 24 hours.... I devoured this book in less than 24 hours. It is raw.. It is exposed.. vulnerable. It makes me wish I didn't take so long to finally pick up this book to read.I can say for some this may start slow, or be hard to get to at first. I found it all engulfing and the begining luring and curious.. allowing me to dive in as it get more in depth. This has good world building, in to a distopia that we should fear coming a reality. This is wrote in the POV of the MFC, and a large portion of it is a journal style of point of view. If you like audio it will add another level to those portions when you get writing sounds. This book does not leave you on an insane cliff hanger, however it doesn't leave you needing more where it leaves off. It left me wanting to grab the next book and see what happens next.Unravel Me: Female characters in lots of books today tend to irritate me.. They are written typically in 1 of 2 ways, and alot of that has to do with all characters for whatever reason being aged in that late teens years. So they are rash, and don't think. The unfortunate thing, is thats not true for all people of that age bracket, so it is an annoying steryotype..... with that said.Juilette your MFC in this book does show signs of these characteristics, HOWEVER, I tend not to judge those for her due to the fact that she actually can very well be explained on these reactions due to her past in asylum, detention centers ect. Also as you have gone through book one, and get through this book you see her frustrated with this behavior, with herself, and trying to fix herself. Not an easy thing to acomplish and not something to be exspected to happen over night.. But you do see her grow as a character in this book, and in a positive manner. For that I applaud the author, for again taking this story, making it deep, and raw, and in your face of so many topics, and then taking this character and showing she can blossom, you can move past the darkest of moments. If you are team Adam, good for you! And I will cheer for your team, however, I have found the lack of depth in this character to be lack luster, and glad to have Warner (Aaron) also in the picture. Aaron has proven to have so many layers, and the Author is slowly pulling the bandaids off each one. So Yes in the love Triangle, I am Team Warner. Now with that said... This book was throwing down some punches and surprises, while I had figured/ geussed on several, it was written beautifully to truely give some shock value to anyone that didn't catch the clues. For your spicy heat... you have more drama happening, but the spice you see is similar to what was shown in book 1.This book does leave you in a spot while its not crazy intense, you are not ready for it to be over. So just go ahead and grab the novella that comes after this to be ready.Ignite Me: This book was full of soo much growth for the main characters. Also I enjoyed that the MFC Juilette isn't just falling all over a guy or both guys in her love triangle and being basically worthless. She is focusing on herself. She doesn't just want to say the L word to make people happy. It is clear that if she is going to say it she wants it to mean somthing, after watching what happened the first time she said it.The "war" was lack luster in this. Which while we are dealing with super natural abilities, only getting to see Juilette's POV you do get to see her flex her control on her abilities, but you have no idea on what happened on a bigger scale of it. It also felt too easily finished. While the ending does leaving you hanging and confirm the obvious of this isn't over yet, it wasn't a crazy cliffhanger, because you do anticipate that.HOWEVER, you are severally cliffhanging, on the fact you still only seen what happened with Juilette.. her and her people haven't come together and chatted really.. so you don't fully know whats up with them when this ends.

All in all - Do not recommend
It's very dry, I'm some sure some would love hearing about what could happen, I just didn't see that in the description, so it wasn't what I was looking for.
